So he's like Elvis. He didn't die, he just went home.

But in all seriousness, RiP sir.

RIP

One of my all-time favorite cartoons when I was kid. I still have hidden away in a box my old set of yugioh cards that I got over the years. Some basic ones and some cooler ones as well. Going to hold on to that one forever

RIP...

We don't know what kind of death we will have.
True cause of death?

Incidentally, information about the supposed shark bite was not reported by NHK.
Yahoo jp says
(jp>en)At around 9:00 p.m. yesterday, a rental car company reported to the police that they could not reach Mr. Takahashi, and the Japan Coast Guard was investigating the body on the assumption that it was him. According to the fire department, the abdomen and lower body were damaged by sharks and other marine life.

Whoa, thanks for the information. I wonder how come he could end up that way?
Quite shocked with the news. I liked the yu-gi-oh! series.

Sharks rarely attack humans because we aren't typically apart of their diet. They do get curious and do investigative bites, but I think it's more realistic to assume, since they are mostly scavengers, they would eat him if he was already dead.
Is the shark damage confirmed or is it just a rumor? Google says there are plenty of Jellyfish, sea snakes, and lionfish off that coast, and notably cone snails.

As described in the attached 📝.
During a joint search by the Coast Guard and the local fire brigade, a firefighter found the vessel 300 meters offshore. From the traces seen at that time, this is what the news media interviewed from the firefighters' side.
Shocking deaths of celebrities are often "blurbed" to simply state "dead.
If it is in the waters around Japan, I see it reported at least once a year.
If they are attacked by sharks or fall into the sea and die, they are counted as missing and not investigated.... This is a common story in the sea.It means that it is not uncommon for a survey to be available only for a short period of time.

I love Yu-Gi-Oh and its concept, from the card game and its physical and digital versions and the anime, i've put hundreds of hours into consuming Yu-Gi-Oh and no other card game no matter how hard I try to get into it matches the fun i've had playing his and may his legacy of the cards he made live on.

Kazuki Takahashi, 60, whose real first name was Kazuo, was discovered wearing snorkelling gear and floating in the sea near Nago, in the southern island prefecture of Okinawa, early on Wednesday and identified a day later, the NHK public broadcaster reported.

Authorities are investigating his death.

Well this is sad. :(

Loved Yugioh as a kid. I think I'll reread his manga in his memory.
