Looks like it might be locked to 30 fps considering the info in the System Requirements.

Wonder why they put a recommended system that only gets 30 fps in the info then.

Oh... why does every new game uses Denuvo?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

So it doesn't get pirated during the first few months, although that already happened with games like RE7.

AAAAAAAAAAAH Denuvo!

On another note: August is riddled with Japanese game releases for me.

  1. Shenmue I & II
  2. Yakuza 0
  3. Monster Hunter World

$60 is OK, it's 60 euros for me. It's ridiculous.

Where is it 70€? Steamdb doesn't show any country with such a high price. 60€ in Germany, which is standard (and around 70$).

Nowhere, sorry I wanted to write 60 euros. I edited it.

$60 is the console tax. This is for PC.

Probably whole EU have same price, in Poland it's still around 60€ or almost 70$. :/

it's not ok when my region should be like 50-60% cheaper like brazil. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

AAA games are coming with ridiculous prices here in Brazil recently. This one is an exception, however. Still expensive as shit, but it's the regular price for new releases here.

Anywhere to buy this cheapest in third party sites? Planning to get one for a friend and I can't gift them on Steam directly cos of Steam's gifting policies.

I'm afraid there is none at the moment, so Steam gift cards is your choice if you don't want to wait.

Edit: Turns out you only have to wait for a single day, ahaha

Ah pity. Thanks for the info! Hopefully one will pop up before release so I can surprise them instead of asking them to buy it themselves with the giftcard :P

It's getting pretty frustrating having new releases I'm interested in come with Denuvo.

This is especially disappointing when the Monster Hunter series in particular is something I've never gotten to play, but always thought I might like.

I've considered assembling a PC to be my "Windows 10/Denuvo Gamer Rig." If I didn't have some Denuvo games in my Steam library already, I'd be tempted to just get a PS4.

BTW, there's an informational Steam curator that help users keep track of which games have/had/will have Denuvo.

What's wrong with Denuvo? Easily cracked? Or? Sorry, I'm new in these things. :/

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It hurts your frame rate, and it will be cracked in a few days anyway. So pirates will end up with the superior version. It seems to me like Denuvo spends more money paying people to shill for their garbage product than making it actually function unobtrusively.

But most new games use denuvo. I don't get it why is many people so surprised.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Is anyone claiming to be surprised? I'm disappointed that they haven't done away with this trash yet. It doesn't hurt the pirates at all, only the paying customers.

What I expected,

  • No FPS lock,
  • No Denuvo crap,
  • Regional pricing instead of currency conversation,
  • Full controller support,
  • Early pre-download and no release day update,
  • No connectivity problems.

What I got,

  • At this point, just a huge middle finger.

Guess I'll wait and see for a bit.

My computer definitely won't be able to play it, still nice to see this series on Steam. I love MH 4 Ultimate and it seems this one is even better. Hopefully this means future installments will make it to PC too.

by "standalone" i mean a game that's complete with no extra stuff not included and everyone has the same thing. i think that this definition isn't what people have for "standalone" usually

The could go down a bit with price and Steam should make regional prices matter something.

My current PC was build with Skyrim in mind. Now it's time for Monster Hunter: World.

I loved MH:FU on my PSP, but I never had a chance to play in a party. So I'm super hyped to finally see this series on PC (still - no preorders!).

well, as much as idc about him, and all the gaijin drama, it is kinda humm more politically safe (some foreigners find it offensive to be called gaijin instead of gaikokujin, imo it's being oversensitive and dramatic lol) to call that himself being one them :P
as for legality it's citizenshitp - > permanent residence -> spouse visa (the difference between two last one are small, mostly, on PR you dont have to renew visa)anyway good for him :) dont know a that guy, but wish him well lmao
