Just don't start sacrificing dice and you'll be fine, though I guess the RNG gods smile upon those willing to take some risks. In the wargaming scene, there are people who, in their attempts to please the dice gods, sacrifice dice before major events. But the dice gods don't look kindly to anyone who sacrifice their heralds on this world, and those who do sacrifice dice are cursed.

It doesn't matter what weapon you defeat them with, all that matters is you beat them using v.a.t.s.

Yesterday, a ceiling chair made offerings to please the RNG gods, in an attempt to please them and help him win Driftmoon. I suggested that of bowing down to the gods and making sacrifices was not the way to get what you want. You have to fight. That suggestion proved itself to be very true, because afterwards I won 4 Giveaways.
Edit : jbondguy007 has made an offering
