Hi guys,

I have read in FAQ that regifting is against the rules of this website. By sheer luck, I have stumble upon someone who won 4 giveaways but it seems like 2 of them was used to create new giveaways. I'm assuming this scenario, cause 2 of his won games apeared on his/her steam account and other 2 havn't. Additionaly those 2 that didn't was given away by this person.
By the look of it, this person is now considered contributor when he/she acctualy should not be considered as such.

I find it unfair to other users who acctualy contribute to the community.
What do You think about such behaviour?

regards, Libatorus

If you have SG+, go to his profile and click the report button. Mods will take care of it.

What I think of it? Those guys shouldn't come back, ever (imo) :p

If you don't, report him in the support section and NOT with the report profile button.

or just use the report button. This way it will take more time but its the way it is intented. If he wins a giveaway the creater of the giveaway can always ask for a reroll.

This, please report them and DO NOT post their name on the forums just report them and a support member will get to it within 24 hours usually.

Exactly. It wasn't my intention to put a name of this guy here. Public trials are rarely a good idea :)

Why not?

Some of them can be rehabilitated. I used to think differently, but now I'm willing to give everyone a second chance. That's as far as I'll go though.

do report always all the regifters, mods will ban them. forever would be the best, but I dont think that its a perm ban in this case... maybe it should :D

@painman01

Well, I have acctualy reported his/hers last giveaway and the user (with a description) from his/hers profile page a week ago.

@Lorkhan

I went to support section but there is this info:
"Reporting Users: If you're reporting a user, please do not use support. Instead, click the Report User button which is located on their profile."

I'm not sure if my report even got to the mods. It has been week already and this person is still entering giveaways. I haven't revieved any feedback on my report. It would be nice to know if it was valid or not. There might be something I do not know about that makes this guy innocent. Any kind of feedback would be appreciated ...
I think I will use support to ask for a feedback :)

Has the re-gifting policy always been around since the start of this site?

Yes. You were always required to activate the gift on your account.

What was the official rationale for it?

That you are gifting games.
I consider it very rude to give away a gift. I'm talking about real life.

This makes the most sense. I've heard other reasons that didn't make much sense, but I was just curious about a bit of background behind the site. Thank you~

That was my impression as well. That's why it ticked me off when I saw this guy ...
