Which one to give away?
Well, it looks like I won't have to worry about entering the giveaway in this thread, as I have no desire to play Factorio at all.
I chose Xanadu Next, as it is the one that most interests me.
Congratulations on your upcoming milestone! 5000 gifts sent is a pretty nice accomplishment.:)

That's actually pretty cool! I can't believe I missed that!:)

Thank you.:)
This is very, very nice of you!:)
I hope it's okay that I enter a couple of other games as well (just not Factorio, as I probably wouldn't have any desire to play that one, lol).:)

Wow. The genre I hate the most is the No.1 vote-getter. That's totally weird to me. No offense to anyone. I just don't find resource management fun at all.

Political Animals looks amusingly fun but I'll vote for Xanadu Next as its the one that actually interests me most.

Indeed Factorio is the only one I recognize at first glance because I've heard so many good things about it...
Turns out, Xanadu Next is on my wishlist too. I forgot how it got there, but it seems like something I would enjoy the most so it got my vote instead of Factorio.
That and one of the 'good thing' I heard about Factorio is that it is a huge time sink and is a great bang for the buck, but I tend to dive into shorter and shorter games these days :/

Heh, I've actually heard of all of them with the exception of Mainlining. Xanadu Next is the only one close to genres I enjoy, but I don't think I'd join a giveaway for it regardless :3
Oh and of course, that's a nice number of gibs sent ^^ considering you're actually paying for those copies

Was also considering Political Animals for a GA, looks like an interesting game but I'm worried it's a very pretty package with very little inside it :\
Hadn't happened upon Her Majesty's SPIFFING before and it looks fantastic, instant wishlist so thanks for that :D (obviously that's also my vote)
Also corgis in it, can't beat that

This is one of the big reasons I decided to go with this who thread/poll thing and purposefully omitted the "usual" celebratory games.

Factorio reminds me a bit of a game I used to play as a kid, so nostalgia has hit me on this one since the first time I've seen it on Steam :) And I voted for this game cos I think I might enjoy it the most out of all these games in the poll.
My second pick would be Political Animals - it looks like a fun game and I didn't hear about it before so thanks for introducing this game to me :D
The rest of the games are not my cup of tea :) I think I remember an SG user advertising Airships: Conquer the Skies here though, just a fun fact :P EDIT: I've meant somebody from SG is creating this game IIRC :P

Very nice selection. Not because I've heard of any of the the other games beside Facturio (and I think Political Animals) before but just for the opposite reason. Although Airships: Conquer the Skies looks a bit plain it might be just the kind of mechanic based gameplay I enjoy and Her Majesty's SPIFFING has Corgies in it. I'll have to meditate on that one :D

I am German so i have to vote for the industrial management game. It's just in our DNA. With that said, especially Xanadu Next and Her Majesty's SPIFFING look like games i also would enjoy and that i haven't heard of yet. So thanks for that and congrats on your upcoming 5000 milestone.

So, I am nearing 5000 games sent. I never did any kind of "celebration" threads before, but I guess it is the only really "round" round number I'll reach on this site, so it should deserve something that is off from my usual list of better/worse bundle game drops. So, a poll: choose one of the games below and I'll make a forum-only giveaway for it in this thread for my 5000th giveaway key.
If you wonder why these, the answer is relatively simple:
I don't have money for a 60-100 dollar AAA game. I don't have money for even a 30 or 40 dollar one (otherwise it wouldn't be a poll but me dropping Shadow Tactics). I also wanted to choose among these affordable ones those that have or are bound to have good user ratings and a decent play value. Yes, adventure and strategy is overrepresented, but if you want the usual linear corridor shooter or open world fuckaroundery, then, well, you need someone in a better financial situation than me.
The real reason: I just wanted to showcase some totally random games under the 25 dollar price tag that have especially good ratings from both users and critics, but rather low sales numbers on Steam/PC. To point out that there is life outside the highly-marketed current AAA title (and let's admit it, most of you only want those because expensive and advertisements) and the occasional hyped-up indie smash hits (which are often picked up only because they are so independent from everything that it is trendy to like them). I just used a moderately famous one as something familiar to make people stick around and check the rest.
No, this won't be a recurring thing, I really don't have the money for it⦠^^'
Just two more things: you can name-drop games in the thread, I just won't care about it. This is the list. :)
Also, please don't congratulate or do any similar thing. This thread is a
questionlist of giveaways. I would love people who answer it or do some meaningful conversation, but I have little interest in hollow social interactions. Thanks. β₯Giveaways added! \o/
So, since Factorio won by a landslide, here I present it as my (most likely) 4999th key given away on this web site:
Factorio
(Hey, I never promised anything about the winner being the 5000th one!)
And here is the real (hopefully) 5000th one, the second place winner:
Xanadu Next
But hey, I also had a key lying around for the next one:
Her Majesty's SPIFFING
And if I have already finished half of the list, it wouldn't be fair to leave the rest behind, would it?
Political Animals
Airships: Conquer the Skies
Mainlining
Also, as a bonus (since seven is such a nice number), here is something for those who haven't won themselves to death yet with games on this site:
Undertale
If you wonder why the SGTools, it is simply because I don't want to deal with possible rerolls or people who cannot follow two simple rules. I have it plenty of times during my public giveaways, but this time I hope that maybe these hoops will ensure that most of the people who enter will be genuinely interested in playing the games.
Also, if you ask why not just make it a train: I genuinely dislike the entire concept.
