Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark (2010) - This movie is a joke. At first it's interesting, then it's boring and then it's just funny/pathetic. And they put it in a "horror" genre. Words are not sufficient. Nosferatu is turning in his grave. 3/10

i honestly can't remember the last movie i saw
I can't remember the last movie you saw, either
Sure was one from bangbros. A friend of mine told me it's a nice movies site.
I said the last movie you saw, not the last movie you were in...
"Argo" was the last movie i saw.. A bulshit story that Claims to be based on 'real' events (hehe Lies). Also, Iran is not a savage country as they depict it in the movie. They want to make the public take side with the US against Iran..through Psychological means. This movie is a tool for Propaganda against Iran. Just so you know THIS is the number of nuclear warheads of both countries in comparisson. You decide who is the aggressor and who is the victim between these two countries.
damn, iran has a pretty good stockpile of artillery, almost the same as americans and i just love artillery
And we care why WE ARE AMERICA! not a country constantly in turmoil with multiple terrorist cells and an extreme hatred of Israel.
Dude, shut the fuck up. A couple of REAL people were really kidnapped. They're alive today and recounted the moments of terror they went through while in Iran and you minimize their tragedy because they're Americans? You racist, xenophobic cunt. perhaps the movie isn't very accurate in telling how it happened or how thy actually got out of the situation, but the thing really happened and you downplay this because you're an Iranian fucktard who thinks he lives in a paradise country? You stupid piece of shit.
Oh snap. You really laid it on him though.
we'd like to keep them at 0
Um... it actually was REAL
Umm one question: What make this thread official really?
i have no idea. people just like tacking official to stuff. it's more along the lines of self proclaim i think
The fact that there's only one open thread about lately watched movies. So I took the liberty of self-proclaiming it "official". I hope you don't have a problem with that :)
I have. Fite me 1 on 1.
I have a problem with your timing. Fight us both 2v1!
Let's go brah
I just watched Sicario with Emily Blunt and Benicia Del Toro, both actors I adore, and I was underwhelmed by the movie. I recommend passing on that one; It's boring and panders to ignorant people with overcooked details and story that goes on and on and on... At the end I just wanted one actor to shoot the other in a suicide-murder pact. Spoiler: It does not happen.
Djanjo Unchained. Not bad 6/10.
Same. It was over the top but that was to be expected
Well the bullet time shooting might be a bit too much. But it was enjoyable.
Oh I certainly enjoyed it overall
8/10 - Great movie.
it was pretty good movie it'd at least give it a 7/10 or 7.5
Monty Python and the Holy Grail, never gets old 10/10.
It's a timeless masterpiece. I love it.
1+, honestly I don't know why people put up random numbers and a plus, but you deserve it.
A perfect movie
Wolf Creek 6/10 .. really too long until the ''action'' starts ^^
It's been a while since I've seen a good slasher flick. I didn't really like Wolf Creek though.
IDK i think Wolf Creek is pretty good can easily imagine it being a true story
I wrote that 2 years ago. I re-watched it a few weeks ago and I liked it but it wasn't great. The second one was much better imo.
oh well didn't realize how old this thread was till you just said. yeah i agree with you it wasn't Great but alright for what it is
Ted - It was nice. I'll give it a 8 / 10
Mila Kunis ...:D :X ready for the next level?:D:D: Ted was so funny... "what,like [...] ? "
I loved Ted.
Strangers on a Train (1951)
And no.. I'm not old. I'm 24.
Never be ashamed of enjoying a Hitchcock movie!
24 is not old, than you are old.
The Avengers. Expected more, 7/10.
I thought it was a good movie, myself. I'd give it an 8.6 out of 10...
Wow, you really were accurate there. :)
Not really, they rounded off from 8.62
A bit sloppy work, actually. tsk tsk
Oh, I see..
BTW, why were you such a hardass in this one, Loki?
The Avengers assembled for a tea party and neglected to invite me...
NOOOOOOO! So they are the real bastards actually.
It's a fairly good superhero movie. But when compared to other genres it falls short. It's enjoyable though.
I thought it was the best superhero movie. 10/10
One of my best movies ever actually.

Which one? Batman and Robin?
The animated GI Joe movie from 1987. Back when we had awesome action cartoons all over the TV. Still a decent film, though.
And I also watched the Transformers animated film from that era too. Both films are free to view on YouTube (at least until whoever owns the copyright on them gets them pulled...)
the theme music for the old GI GOE movie was awesome.
Here comes the boom 10/10 xD
Rock of Ages 8/10
With even more awesome music! :D
great soundtrack :P personally I thought the two main people had too country of voices though :/ overall pretty good though :)
i'm not sure i remember which movie it was but it was eather Ted or Sinister.
Would give Ted a 8.5/10 Awesome movie and many good laughs :D
and sinister 6.4/10 it was a okay movie but still not the best horror i have seen, didn't really bring anything "new" to make it rememberable if that makes sense, still worth seeing :P
The Hills Have Thighs
I just saw Warm Bodies and give it a solid 8/10.
also 8/10 from me. my last movie aswell
Django - Tarantino in absolutely top form. 9/10
Well, he wasn't soooo good in that little scene to be honest.
:o how could you, his acting was great lol
Django Unchained 9/10, amazing film.
Not sure what to rate it, but it's a good movie.
I love that movie :D lol
Se7en - 8/10, never gets old, good acting and nice atmosphere
pretty good film :)
Silver Linings Playbook: tough to watch at points and the ending is a bit too 'Hollywood', but not enough to detract from the phenomenal writing and superb acting!
That's a movie I never would have chosen to watch, but the other people in the cabin wanted to watch it, so I did, too. I'm a sucker for love stories, so I liked it, of course. D
Watch The Time Traveler's Wife next time. <3.
Watched Stalker last night. Beautifully shot, pretty slow paced but never boring.
+1, If you liked the camera work in stalker, and you aren't easily grossed out, I'd also suggest "antichrist" by lars von trier.
I suppose it's on a list somewhere, but from my limited knowledge, that's quite the jump!
I've watched a few von Trier movies/series:
The KingdomDancer in the DarkMelancholia
(Casually rated from best to worst)
But to be honest, Antichrist is not on my list of movies to watch.
i find the entire phenomenon of the "Roadside Picnic" mindblowing.
Another one you might wanna check out is "Solyaris" (Tarkovsky's, not the Clooney one).
I rewarched Serenity.
Just watched the entire Firefly series and then Serenity, after never watching it before. Most people I know always said it was great so decided to give it a try since I'm still waiting on Doctor Who to return. Loved it. Wished there were more though :(
Damn, now I'll have to watch it for the x-time...
Yeah, thanks a lot :)
oh god oh god, we're all going to die?
"Do you want to run this ship?" LOL
Serenity was my introduction to the Firefly saga, which is too bad. I can't go back to watching the series after seeing the movie. P
I watched movie first and still enjoyed series.
Maybe amount of time between two was the reason. Was not aware of series existence for quite some time.
I don't think it's a matter of agreeing or disagreeing. We're talking about my feelings as a viewer. I'm glad to hear you were able to go back and enjoy the series. I, on the other hand, have had the ending spoiled for me without ever having seen "the rest of the book." The loss affected me deeply, and it's not something I can just forget. Watching the series would just increase that sense of loss, and I wouldn't find that enjoyable.
There are other movies which I have only ever watched one time for exactly the same reason. In general, I don't find tragedy to be entertaining.
I guess I used wrong words ;)
But still, I hope you reconsider. Series have enough content to keep one entertained, despite some character stories spoiled by movie.
Oh, and other characters that are just mentioned in movie start to make sense :)
Oh man, I'm re-watching the series and I tell you, you are missing out on some great show.
Movie doesn't even compare :)
Series is more on comedy side btw :)
Sinister 6/10 - good horror.
The Odd Life of Timothy Green. Heart warming and touching drama with sprinkles of comedy that make you appreciate the innocence of childhood.
Really liked this movie too.
Battleship - was 2 days ago...
Some nice CGI, some stupid and impossible actions, many useless actors. Wasn't that great but hey it made the 2hours I had to loose go away pretty fast :-)
