group might have been a misleading word... maybe... category? as in I know my real CV, more or less, but I have no idea how further it breaks down into public/group/inviteonly...
but actually that was a lie, while I did not know per se, I knew that public was really small, cause even when I feel like going public in general, it usually ends up being inv only in a topic.
Hm, even with good deals it would probably cost me 75-100 Euro to spend on public GAs, so I probably won't fix it for now :P

Actually, after finding out about the 'you only need 1 entrant' rule, I've been a bit less hesitant about public giveaways. Been doing all high level ones though, low level ones [primarily 0-3] are utter garbage wherein the servants of suffering dwell. -.-

Mhhh...the public CV Value is (maybe) not really a (necessary) requirement for this GA.This is just a scientific procedure to avoid cv abuse users (region restricted GA's and/or private/invite only giveaways). If you don't like this "idea"...well,here are many other generous GA creators without any restrictions on their giveaways but please don't take this too personally :)
about Level 0-3 GA's:with the help from sgtools it's possible to "steer" your giveaway to the "right" low level users although I must admit sgtools giveaways are not really public giveaways.

Ah.. no, wasn't in any way indicating you shouldn't post giveaways in the manner you see fit.
It just sounded like you were bashing on public giveaways while also encouraging us to post them, and while offering this private giveaway based around them, so it was just really odd phrasing on your part, which is all I was referring to. =O
I just wasn't sure if you were for publics, against them, or making fun of the entire matter :P
By all means, post your giveaways as you see fit- that's your right, and don't let anyone else claim otherwise :)
And yeah, no, I do my share of private giveaways as well- sgtools is a massive blessing in that regard. In fact, it's really hard to encourage myself to do publics with sgtools being available for privates :X
Asking for community involvement and no outstanding rule-breaking, that's not much to ask, I think?
Though I tend to ask for .65 ratio and level 2+ as well, so, there's that :P

My attitude is terrible. In recent months, I've mostly used it to get rid of low-reviewed games I wouldn't feel good about offering my private groups [though in fairness, I use PosTho primarily as a basic public filter, in lieu of an official one, so it's not really selective group use, either].
While I'm going to be more generous in the matter now that I realize I can do high level giveaways and only need to worry about getting a single entry, I'm still going to avoid low-level gibs like the plague.
And, it's not even a judgement call that's predicating that decision-
I simply don't want to suffer the near-guaranteed stress and frustrations of the matter, my time is too limited as is, and too valuable to waste on people like that.
Throwing yourself into a Tiger Pit to try and feed a sweet kitten is admirable, but ultimately self-destructive. Hold the meat out for the kittens already above the pit [clever devils found our secret kitten tunnel system and climbed out! =O], and whatever can jump high enough to grab it from there, so be it.
I mean, I don't begrudge people that take that approach, and even admire the more altruistically minded ones, but I don't have the time or finances to justify it for myself.
As a counter to the altruistic-minded ones willing to endure the stresses involved, the people that just make level 0 giveaways because they don't care who gets their game kinda aggravate me.
Though, with such a deep difference in perspective over the value of a game and over the expectations on conduct you ought have for people, that's not surprising.

After going through a recent event where someone very close to me was feeling depressed and suicidal, thought I'd make some GA's to get a point across. If you are feeling this way, there is help, and people out there want to help. You're not alone and you are cared about. If you are not of this state of mind, realize that you could be the difference between them getting help, or doing the unthinkable. You will most likely never know how, who, or how many you helped, but that should make no difference. It just matters that you were there. Go and be the best you that you can be. If anyone out there needs someone, i accept all steam friend requests and will reply as soon as i see your message.
Try and keep the thread alive for a while so that more can see it. May i suggest pictures of cats? Anything really.
I'm going to attempt to update this thread once again once a week, between Friday and Sundays.
