I don't really want to know haha. Spent a fair bit on playing WoW. Base game, all the expansions, game time and majority of the mounts and pets from the store.

I don't even install F2P with in-app purchase :\ (alias P2W)

well, i had WoW (up to Cataclism) for 18 months~. some were free, most was bought in a sale. but i'd easly say above 200$.
i had fun, so can't complain right?
btw, didn't PvP only PvE. that game has a lot of stuff

Fallout New Vegas bought twice (30 Euros in total I think), Deus Ex 1 four times (my guess is around 30 USD in total). These are the most I spent on a game.
Oh, and Remember Me, if we count Steam cards. The game was about 13 Euros, and spent another 15 on level 5 + foil badge out of appreciation.

Depends which game. Ones that you can only buy cosmetics are truly f2p. Like dota 2. Nothing you can buy will affect gameplay.

I actually love this system. Skins brining in the money means that the devs don't have to make the game pay to win to make money. It truly can be a f2p experience. Only the players who can afford to spend the money spend it while those who cannot, don't have to. In my books that is the perfect way to do this.

I +1 this as well. It gives the user the option without them having to do it to be able to "win".

Ah I wish I could have been a member back in the day, but never did Done only the free quests!

Because MMOs are evil and they don't deserve my money (otherwise known as "because I'm stingy as hell" :D ).
Well, ok, there was RuneScape once upon a time. But I was young and stupid then, the game used to not suck and I consider the monthly "membership" fee to be more like unlocking the actual game (without it you're essentially playing a Demo).

Spent 120$ on a Star Citizen pledge. It comes with tons of physical goodies (limited amount) though, so it's a reasonable "price".

No option for none in the poll? I haven't spent a single penny in a f2p game yet and I'm proud of it!

I won't even play pay2win games anymore. I only play free2play games that only sell cosmetics because then the developers are actually giving you an option to play without paying.

Hi,
Question is for MMOs since offline games are usually buy once, unless it has lots of DLCs, like RockSmith or Train Simulator. On the other hand MMOs are usually Free2Play + Pay2Pretty, offering large amount of "ingame" items ranging from weapons, armor, upgrades and so on. Considering how much one loves the game, a player can spend a big sum for the "time" he spent since most MMOs will eventually die due their 'online' nature.
Been there, done that and spent good sum on a single game that I could've have spent on buying top games. But IMO it worth it. So what's your amount?
L5GA
Thx.
