I'm going to build a pc and i'm looking for a monitor 24" under 200€.
Right now i've got an imac 27".
Do you think i can find something similar at that price?

Samsung Syncmaster S24B350H LCD Monitor 24 " at 182€ , is any good?

I would suggest looking around on Google for reliable places that make monitors and then go down the list (from best to worse) and look for the ones they offer in your price range.

hey, I don't know that imac 27 but I'm curious as to why you'd go smaller to a 24..
From what I've been reading, the best size for gaming/watching videos would be 24-27. Now, resolution: some say you can't go wrong with 2560x1440, (desk wise it's awesome and you can fit whatever you want in there, easy!) others would stick with fullHD, 1080p.
If you have good hardware, like a nice videocard then reso shouldn't be a problem, as gaming at native reso 2560x1440 would be demanding!

Also, keep an eye on panel, TN is fast but low quality, IPS is a good balance and keep in mind the glary effect or mate from the screen 'cover'. Share your thoughts & findings.

I'd stay far away from Samsung, some love them, some hate them, I just don't like them, so LG, Dell, ViewSonic, Asus, etc.
Always liked LG, also they make all screens other brands uses, even Apple.

I'm from southamerica so here we don't have PC monitors above 23.. TV's are all hd ready (720p). Importing a cool better quality one would be too expensive to accomplish. :S

I'm going to 24" for price reasons, and because i'll play at 1080.
The monitor for the imac is a led ips, but other than that i dont know...

so you think/feel 27 is too much?
If they weren't so frigging expensive and high chance of getting a bad one, I'd buy an LG directled 42, hang on the wall and enjoy movies, but in my country is almost impossible to get one without flaws.
As for monitors, 1080p but good enough for the tagprice they ask is a no go for now. sigh.

Let us know what you got :)
