Today's Faster Than Light sale made me wonder what will happen when one day FTL appears in Humble Bundle as alone BTA game. Since usual BTA is over $4 that would mean you'd need to pay more for it then now.

Will it anyway get into bundle list, even through reason why it exist (to stop abuse by paying little to get tons of CV) won't be met (since it could be abused now for even less $$$)?

Similar question about Brutal Legend - if it appear on Steam with <$5 price tag will it stay in bundle list (since you had to pay over $6 to get BL key)?

That's actually a good point. Super Hexagon was BTA for one bundle, and it goes on sale for a dollar oftentimes. Should it really count as a bundle game still if you can get it from the Steam store for LESS than the bundle price? Granted the bundle comes with other games, which is the main issue here.

Humble Bundle 8, for example, I'm sure both BTA games will go on sale for 2.50 and the average was around 5, but you still got, like, seven other games with it.

Bundle price isn't game price, remember. You need to divide bundle level price by number of games on this level. And in case of Humble Bundle BTA games you need to subtract $1 for those below the average games.

So in your HB8 example, games from BTA would need to be cheaper than $2. And in case of those 7 below average games, they would need to be cheaper than $0.14...

The system is not perfect. But it's just not feasible to discuss and adjust the bundle list for each game individually depending on sale prices. This would only lead to a lot of confusion, tons of extra work for the staff and probably tons of complaints as well.

And 75% off like it is the case with FTL now is hardly abusing the CV system, I would guess that more than 95% of the games given away here were bought as part of a bundle or with 75%+ off price.

I know 75% off is not abuse. Question is: if it appears in Humble Bundle as BTA game worth $5 should it appear as bundle game since if someone would want to abuse CV he'd get much better results now.

Like I said, it's just not feasible to adjust the bundle list for all games individually. I'm (obviously) not a mod or the owner of this site, but that's what I think. Imagine the extra work needed to check for sales on all the different sites that offer Steam games and compare them to bta bundle prices, then maybe even calculate the average price per game if there is more than one game in the bta tier. It would also be very confusing for the users of this site and I'm sure there would be a lot of complaints like 'why is game X not in the bundle list, it was in the Humble Bundle Y' or 'game X was cheaper on [insert name of a random Brazilian website selling Steam keys almost no one ever heard off] than in bundle Y, so why is it on the bundle list now?'.

Who told you it will be above $5 and FTL will be the only BTA game? And why you exclude second week games?

FTL is only 75% off, what are you going on about?

As for your Brutal Legend comment, there is currently nothing in place to have games removed from the bundle list once they've been added. I felt I should add that regardless of whether you giveaway a gift or a key, once it's on the bundle list, you receive decreased CV.

In short words, what will happen when game is sold now for $2 and tomorrow appears in humble bundle with minimum $5 for it alone.

Nothing would happen until it appeared in the Humble Bundle and it would then be added to the bundle list.

No. I bought Bastion for $3.75, when it was a BTA game for at least $5, and it did not add to my contributor value, so I can assume that's true for all BTA games.

Using your Super Hexagon example, the BTA for that bundle was (on average) $6.95. The BTA consisted of 5 games, and if you remove $1 for the base bundle it means on average $1.19 per game. But some of the games are worth more than Super Hexagon on regular price, so taking the price ratio into consideration that particular games was worth a lot less than a dollar as part of the bundle.

Exactly, the BTA is unlikely to be a single game, so you can't consider the difference between UTA and BTA as the price of a game. I guess a reasonable approximation for a HIB BTa game price is 2-2.5$.

Super Hexagon wasn't my example and I didn't checked how many games it had, just trusted dove it had some games below and two games over average.
