The second pic is not fish, it's unagi or grilled eel with sweet soy sauce. It's delicious and pretty expensive. I have eaten California rolls with mango and avocado, it's good. I would eat that too, doesn't seem so bad unless you can't stand durian.

FYI, the "in the menu" link shows the weird California roll pic again.

Pretty sure the fish is unagi, which is a type of borderline-endangered eel.

I like fruit in rolls. Depends what it goes with but my problem here is more with the surimi.

That ain't from any California I'd go to.

A California roll without avocado is not a California roll.
Also, that one's weird for more reasons than that. But if it had avocado, I'd still be okay with it.
