I don't see the issue. While I like the presto engine quite a bit, WebKit is open which means more support. As long as opera keeps the features that make it the best in my eyes, I don't care much what rendering engine they use. Ultimately web devs are the ones breaking the web by using features not supported in all browsers.

Well, not here, I am using Opera almost 11 years. It just gets better and better :P

I prefer Pale Moon.

FF has become too slow and bloated over the years. I rarely use it anymore. I stick to Chrome and IE9, both are much faster. (Yes, I've just called IE faster, but it truly is)

But why would I use IE when there are so many other options available?

Yes, real browser with customizability that doesn't phone home everything you're doing. Problem? :P

Firefox and its 10x larger palette of customization options than Chrome can dream of just work for me. Though, it's cute to see even proven spyware can have adorators ^^
