As a lot of the comments say, it is random if it will work or not. Took numerous tries, refreshing page or leaving cart page and returning to retry. Got it to work after 10 minutes; that was with me clicking redeem a few times, refreshing page and leaving to go to a different tab to do something and coming back. So it is hit or miss.... with a lot more misses than hits.
