IMHO, if it was $10 I would say instabuy. I own it on PS4 but recieved it for free and the few times I have played it was immense fun. That being said, I only played it a few times before returning back to other games. Maybe if you have a group of friends to play online with it's better but this is just my two cents.
edit: Also if you have free time, check out the games soundtrack on spotify. It is absolutely AMAZING!

Yeah, its fantastic fun, but a little over priced atm,

He needs PS Plus if he wants to play online. He doesn't know what games he'll get in September, so he can't count them in his purchase. All he knows is that without PS Plus, he lose access to Online Gaming. So any game he gets there are free bonus.
Of course he can buy Rocket for $20 on PS4. But he still needs to pay for PS+ to be able to play it properly (aka Online).

My brother told me pretty much the same, he got it on PS4 for free. He doesn't like football nor racing games but he did had a lot of fun playing it, but unlike some games it's not one is looking forward to play again even when he plays it it's fun. Unlike some games where when you stop playing you're looking forward to launch it again ASAP.
My advice, do like me wait for a signifant price drop ;)

Didn't your mom ever told you something like "If all kids would jump of the bridge would you jump too?" The fact that other people buy it doesn't mean they all like it. Game got enormous hype and I think we can safely assume that some of buyers just want to check it out, which, like I said, doesn't mean they all liked it. The second thing - even if some great amount of people liked it game, it doesn't mean other people will too.
Charts are only for juornalists and accountants, some bad game can get high sales but some gem can be sold only few times. It's only a numbers man.

I know hype like this can sometimes be misleading (I mean, look at FNAF?!), but in most cases, hype that lasts more than a few days usually indicates real potential. I've tried the game myself and I'm charmed. I don't really like football or driving games, but the way they mixed those two genres is amazing.

I can agree with you about that. Still, and now I'm reffering to the LegendsSaga post, you shouldn't look at this numbers when you want to buy the game. Watch some gameplay, read review ask friend if he owns it but just don't look at plain numbers :P

Keep checking G2A, it'll drop in price soon enough. Right now, it's $17 there, I believe, but don't quote me on that.

I think they have something like buyer protection or something like that. You have to pay for it but I remember they had free buyer protection for new customers or something, I think it was for one month. With something like that you don't really risk anything but I see your point.
Comment has been collapsed.
They have buyer protection, and if you buy from 100% positive feedback sellers, you don't even need that. I can understand the skepticism, but there's several non-marketplace sites that have worse support and offer no protection at all if a transaction error occurs on their behalf. Green Man Gaming is one such site, along with a few others.
Also my post was intended for the OP, who might be looking to buy the game at a lower price. You on the other hand might as well buy the game on Steam right now if you want it, because it's probably not going to go on sale any time soon, and it's not going to be cheaper anywhere other than G2A.

He means that G2A is an unauthorized reseller. Buyer protection doesn't mean anything since they charge you for it when it's something you're legally entitled to by default, nor does buying from their blackmarket users change anything. They still don't get anything directly from publishers and continue to act as a gray marketplace that managed to find a place it could operate without legal consequence.
Like pirating, G2A is not a respectable source of obtaining products and many people prefer buying from legitimate/authorized resellers. You're free to support them in the same way you're free to pirate in many countries without prosecution from the DMCA/ISPs. Not caring where they obtain all of their stuff as long as it's cheap for you just means that you're an irresponsible buyer.

If he meant it that way, he would have said it as you did.
However, you've got a good point. Never thought of it that way before, but if I really wanted to support a developer directly for a game (as I have done numerous times before for games I really love, some examples being Risk of Rain and Hotline Miami) I would find a special edition to buy from their site directly, or find a way to support them directly rather than go through a company that takes a share of the retail price for themselves to begin with. G2A is a way for me to obtain games cheaply, yes, but if I really like a game I may have "shadily" garnered from there, I will most definitely find the dev's website and contribute to them, so that they may continue the great work they have done.
Moreover, you might've forgotten that there are resellers that will not sell "gray" product like keys, but instead give you the product you paid for in the form of a Steam Gift, or promotional Nvidia Codes. Steam Gifts can not be obtained by codes or keys, and are an "authorized" product sanctioned by Valve themselves. The only way to obtain a Steam gift is from buying the game directly from Steam, and electing to store it in your inventory for later use. Nvidia codes are a bit grey because of the way they can be obtained, but a publisher working with Nvidia for their promotions are compensated in advance for product keys, and the unused ones are invalidated after a certain period. Not everything on G2A is gray product, even it is obtained secondhand through traders and code scavengers alike. I've sold keys myself on there from leftover bundles that I didn't want to give away on SteamGifts, invalidating your claim that everyone on there is a black-market user. Not everyone on there disregards where others obtain their keys, especially when there's a filter just for Steam Gift sellers, so you KNOW where others have obtained their products.
If my argument is invalid, then SteamGifts itself might as well be considered an unrespectable source of obtaining products, and if so, why are you on the site if you really believed in what you have spoken for?

I know sewaz's views because we've spoken and share the same on it. You're rationalizing an invalid argument indeed. You don't understand what trade laws are and how it impacts businesses and consumers on different levels. "Invaliding your claim that everyone on there is a black market user" - Bad logic/strawman aside, you might want to look up the definition of a black market since you don't seem to understand it well. Then hopefully you'll have a eureka moment and see why you're mistaken. (hint: maybe it's called that because of what OTHER people do there whether or not you participate, even if you are unwittingly doing it too).
Your argument being invalid would mean that you're not only mistaken about unauthorized resellers, but steamgifts as well. I avoid giveaways where users obtained their codes from unauthorized resellers and any other shady means. I actually care where my wins come from and enter giveaways selectively. I'm not just a responsible buyer, I'm a responsible winner as well. You should try both sometime.

Honestly, I thought you were kind of an egotist when I first read this response. Not going to lie, I still think you are a little bit, but only because of how it sounds when you string your words together. Nonetheless, after thinking about it, and doing a bit of research into our growing gray markets, and G2A's history, your words made me wake up a bit. I hate it when devs like Devolver Digital (who apparently had a pretty public dispute with G2A themselves about these dirty keys) lose potential funds to use on making more great games like The Talos Principal and the Serious Sam series, but I never sat and thought about how bad something like G2A could affect their income. Not sure if it was just naivety or stupidity, but I kept thinking that most of the sellers on G2A were just people like me, thinking that selling off a few pieces of their Bundle Stars keys would be alright and fair. Of course, I always knew there were others that would exploit such things and buy bundles by the truckload, but I at least tried to stay away from those sellers. Either way, I believe I'm done buying from G2A now. I'll either just pitch in those few extra bucks for a game directly off of Steam, or keep checking IsThereAnyDeal for authorized retailer deals.
Just created this wall of text to say thank you for doing a service to the market and to keep our dear developers alive and making games. Next time though, come off a little more patient and less caustic, but otherwise, thanks for waking me up.

Agreed that I'm an ass. But a good intentioned one who only wants people to get games for cheap/free from authorized sources. I'm just waiting for an opportunity to present itself and I'll shut down or regulate unauthorized resellers myself. I've done some research and just need to find the right partner(s).
You also don't have to spend more to support the companies you like. It's just a matter of where it comes from, not how much it costs. ^^

Long story short.
If you play that game with friend(s) ... its a blast !
Its really fun with friends thats for sure.
If you play it alone ... its really not worth getting .
20$ .... kinda pricy ...
On sale for 10$ = Insta buy tho .
its worth it , but it really shines when you play it with friends

Looks fun as fuck. I know a bunch of people who loooooove it

great game, i got it on ps4 from ps+ and i will buy the new dlc that come out.
btw i hate sport games, i hate football, but i love rocket league :-)
and also for 20$ its quite a lot, 10 would be better for me. So if you are rich than buy it and if poor then wait on discount. (dont know how many people are playing it on steam, but on playstation it is nearly instantly started- a lot of people play it)

It's really fun, but wait for it to go -75% on a sale...

I think rocket league is really fun. It has the potential to be endless entertainment if you have friends, but even solo I've had fun. It's easy to learn the basics and even as a newbie you will pull off some amazing goals. Not many multiplayer games hold my attention, and I think the price was fair although I'm a bit jealous of it being free with ps plus on PS4. I never buy sports games either.

Well I don't play cs:go and I don't normally enjoy multiplayer games all that much, so I think that makes my opinion unique to others. I enjoy Rocket League a lot, despite not liking multiplayer, sports or car games. Regardless, everyone is entitled to their own opinions and mine won't be relevant to most :)

I respect you opinion. I just don't see myself getting to play it that much :/ Other good games as distractions.
Comment has been collapsed.
I can understand that. I have a short attention span and way too many games in my backlog haha.

I mean, tons of people love it but... it doesn't look like its the game for me :P

Its worth 20$ imo, a game is worth its price when it kills time and you have a blast. This game is good if you're playing solo but if you have friends/siblings to play with, its (9king) awesome!; split screen is an option which can go upto 4 screen.
Usually I split screen with my little bro in the 4v4 matches which is incredibly fun or frustrating, reminds me of LoL(the blaming*) and you end up blaming your team(but they don't really spam you with insults or anything, probably because the matches are short and the community is nice so far)
You could wait for it to go on sale if you want to spend money on what you think are "better" games out there but if you can spend it right now, you could go for it since we don't know atm when it'll go on sale.
At the end of the day,
Every person has his own taste and sense of satisfaction so you wouldn't know if its worth it or not unless you actually try the game.
If you don't like the game, you could try the Steam refund(my experience with Steam Refund has been good so far), play the game less than 2 hours and ask for a refund if you don't like it within 14 days of your purchase.

As long as you have people who you could regularly play with, I'd say it's worth it.
