I decided to install Windows 7 in the new PC I will buy soon, but how to install it from a USB Drive? it's the same process as installing it from an Optical drive? so I have to choose the USB Drive as a disk/unit and it will automatically install it onto my HDD?

Edit: Installing onto a PC without any OS.

Says: Requirements:
Access to a computer with Windows 7, 8, Vista, or XP installed and working properly, as well as with a DVD drive if you have a Windows 7 DVD
I won't have any OS on the PC.

Just install the tool on your current computer copy the ISO over and run the tool there. There shouldn't be any problems that way. That way you have installation media as USB stick.

So after doing that the USB will automatically work as an installer to install it to a fresh PC withoout any OS? The only PCs currently I have in my home are Windows Vista's and one Windows XP.

You have to set up the USB drive. It's pretty simple though, basically you make it bootable and then copy the install DVD contents on it. There's also an official Microsoft tool do to that, but I found it doesn't always work well. In any case, here it is: clicky.

Windows 8 can get annoying if you use start menu A LOT. I personally don't use it at all (never used in Win7 either) and Win8 has some amazing shortcuts that lets you bypass start menu 95% of the time.

I'm comming from a Mac so I don't care about the Start Menu that everyone loves, but I heard it has other annoying things.

You have heard wrong, I think? Everyone I know that uses Win8 says that it's more streamlined than Win7 and works faster, the only thing is the metro/modern interface, which is a replacement for the start menu. If you love the Win7 start menu, there are cheap alternatives to get it back. There is absolutely no reason to get Win7 over Win8, imho.

Trust this guy, he's telling truth. I was one of them who loved Win7 and didn't want to upgrade it to Win8. But luckily i did, now i never want to go back to Win7, because Win8 is great. Boot up time is amazing, and i start to love metro even more than the old start menu.

Yep, Win8 is the best Windows version thus far. Start menu was only annoying when you get used to Win8.

The Win7 USB Download tool linked in first post doesn't always work (in my personal experience), so I have always used a different method.
Follow this guide and it will work 99.9% of the time: http://www.intowindows.com/bootable-usb/
P.S I have never installed Windows 7 or 8 from a DVD - always USB :)
P.S.S Once you make the USB drive bootable, you don't have to do it ever again, it stays bootable unless you use bootsect.exe to remove the mbr off the drive. P.S.S you can skip format the drive within windows instead of using diskpart, that way it's faster, but make sure to follow all the other steps.

What did you do? I've used it many times and it has always worked.

Well, lets just say the windows iso wasn't exactly from microsoft.com ...
The method I linked to lets you boot any windows, even xp by just copypasting the iso/dvd contents to usb drive.

USB Universal Installer for single boots and Xboot for multiple OS boots

Whenever I've done W7 installs from USB, I've always used USB Universal Installer to set it up!

There is a bit more to it than just copying or extracting the ISO to the USB drive which is why a program is required. You could do the whole process yourself, but it would take much more time to figure out what you need to do and apply it.

Use Novicorp WinToFlash. It prepares the USB flash for installing, and copies install files from Win7 Install DVD. And it's pretty easy - literally couple clicks, and you've got yourself a USB stick with an install =)
