Side note; I was looking for a comment on SG I think on this thread - https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/LN4za/what-games-have-been-on-your-wishlist-the-longest where someone said Forza Horizon 4 was on their wishlist for a long time but I can't find it... I swear I saw someone commenting about FH4 being on their wishlist. Maybe they edited their comment since I distinctly remember them putting more than 3 games from their wishlist when the thread was just asking for top 3 lol. Definitely can't find it again.

The seasonal content is just a weekly playlist of events with additional rewards. You should be able to do all of that outside of the seasons either way and get the rewards with ingame currency from showrooms and auction house.

No, it's not only that. It's mainly because they have to pay for the car brandings, which probably costs way more than the music

They removed the crew from people's libraries sparking a big movement (Stop KIlling games) to get the EU and other countries government's to clarify if that is legal.

The Crew works no more. If you purchased it on steam, you still can install it but you can no more start it, as the game has been removed from everyone on Uplay. It was a slap to the face, as all players got a message starting uplay saying something like "we removed the crew 1 from you, why not continue the adventure with motorfest ?"

• Can you run it offline ? No. Despite one player claimed that the code allowing potentially an offline mode was already there in the game files.
• Also an ubisoft technician told me by phone some years ago that other games will be shut down at some point. He told me Steep for sure will be shut down (it's obvious it's a game as service). But i wouldn't be surprised Watch_Dogs1 and Slinter cell blacklist to be killed too. As Ubisoft already shut down Tom Clancy Hawx (that wasn't a game as service, there was a full solo campaign that can no more be played, ubisoft killed a single player campaign), and tried without success to kill Silent hunter 5 and an old Anno that the devs saved in-extremis with an offline patch.

It's really different, here after game is delisted, you'll still be able to play Forza for some years as the servers will still be up.
And even more maybe, can it still be run offline ? Players say that partly yes.

And Need for speed it's even more different because if the servers are shut down one day, the full game can be run offline, at least as long as EA app still run.

The Crew or The Crew 2? Like coley said, the servers are offline for The Crew (1) and it's been removed form uplay entirely (which I was not aware of). The reason why it's an issue with The Crew AND it will be a problem for both The Crew 2 (not yet offline) and The Crew Motorfest is those games have a constant internet connection requirement to play the singleplayer campaign. So once the servers go down, unless you have a workaround to host a dummy server or get the offline mode working, the game is just dead sadly enough. Forza Horizon 4 does not have any such requirement so it'll be fine.

They didn't state anything regarding other multiplayer functionalities yet, but it's possible that they might shutdown online services at some point later on. FH3 still has online servers, but it was broken on PC for a while and seems to be working now only with invitation (when I played it myself, it was broken, haven't tried yet again).

The other online achievements they will unlock just fine through playing the game. Only the festival will terminate complete and this one is the last till August 22. So we have 2 months to earn these 5 achievements. After that we wii be able to get 173 out of 178 achievements in steam. I will try to get these till 22 August buy they need time and patience.

I see they remove the option to buy these DLCS separately. I think they gave the option to buy them before some months. So yes a big bummer. I have the ultimate 1 year now and want to buy these now especially the hot wheels pack.

Damn... they could have waited at least until they delisted the game.

Saw someone on the forum say that you can buy them from the auction house. If true, not a big deal. I think the only big thing missing is the hot wheels cars

That's correct, it's just tied to the account, so you don't have another individual registration for the game. I don't think there's a workaround, but I've also never searched for that.

Someone said that a bit higher, yeah... I hope so, too. It's still going to be a lil bit much, but becomes acceptable (which isn't the case now).

Considering Forza Horizon 3 Ultimate only went to 70% off on Xbox/MS store before being delisted ($21 in the US), I highly doubt it'll get any better than this for Horizon 4.

I think they figured it would stand out more if it wasn't drowned in the tsunami of discounts and people would be more likely to buy it if it was a short discount than a 2 weeks one with lots of other games to buy

I don't think that's right since big sales (like summer or even spring sale) are an exception for a majority of steam's sale policy. The 42h you're seeing is also the hour that summer sale starts, which is common for more or less every sale that's on right now, they either choose the start date of the big sale (and refreshes it to the same price until the end of the big sale) or they extend it out to the end of summer sale. There may be a steam rule where they aren't allowed to have a discount for more than 2 weeks or something so that's why they end it then, and then the exception kicks in and they're allowed to do whatever during the summer sale.

But on a common sense standpoint, do you think that every game (indie or AAA) that's on discount right now won't be on sale during summer sale? The only game on my wishlist that's on sale that doesn't have a sale that ends in ~42 hours or less is Kingdom Hearts, which may be exempt due to squeanix and launch discount rules.

the mitsubishi car pack is still available btw, annd according to reviews on the store, the sunbeam tiger and sunbeam lotus are part of the ultimate edition. so it's just the hotwheels pack that's missing.
