Knowing that we have the possibility to follow publishers and developers on steam, I would find it super useful to have all the games published or developed by those people either in my wishlist or in their own category, with the possibility (like for the DLC) to have them appearing or not.
For example, someone liking 2K's games would just have to follow them to have all the related giveaways appearing in the appropriate category, avoiding to swarm the wishlist with every single of their games or to miss a new release to add to the 60 already wishlisted (and 136 DLC / 8 demos, that's a lot of content).
I don't know if such a thing is possible, if a similar topic already has been created in the past or if there were some attempts to add such option, but I'm curious to know what you think about the idea.

So, what do you think ?

What a bad idea, if I want to have every game from a developer, I add them all in wishlist
OMG that would be so useful so I don't miss the giveaway of a new release I somehow managed to miss
What about doing it but adding a whole category for it so people can just ignore it if they're not interested ?

(Apologies for the bad English, I'm not native speaker and I'm running on 2h of sleep ^^")

I don't think it is a good idea.

Firstly, not every game of developers is good.

Secondly, its not like they are releasing new games every week. It shouldn't be hard to wishlist games you want.

I agree on this, but sometimes you discover a dev while there have been a LOT of games released prior to your discovery. It's my case with Artifex Mundi and an option such as this one would help me to find the related giveaway while not needing to add their 60+ games in my wishlist.
I also 100% agree on the fact that not every game of a dev is good and this option wouldn't be useful to everybody, that's why I thought that an option such as the "hiding DLC" or the separate category might be nice ^^ !

Did you check all 60 games one by one to see if it is a good game for you?

If yes, after checking the game, adding to your wishlist is only one button. It shouldn't be hard.

İf no, why are you adding games to your wishlist in the first place? Like i said, not every game of a developer is good.

Well, i don't think so :)

It is just don't make sense me to add every game to your wishlist in the first place.

Instead of adding all games of 2K to your wishlist, look at games, select those you really want, then add them to your wishlist.

Probably, because of your way of wishlisting games doesn't make sense to me, i can't find your idea useful :/

We're just using our wishlist differently which doesn't make yours or mine irrelevant. Friends gift me stuff from there so I put in stuff I rather prefer being gifted, other things which can wait, I follow the dev, that's why such thing would be useful and since I understand not everybody uses their wishlist that way, I do believe it's better to allow people to turn the option off ^^

Yeah, we are using it differently and why not if a lot of people want it :)

Exactly ^^ ! I understand fully that it wouldn't be useful for everybody, I'm sorry if my first explanation didn't make any sense to you ^^"

Oh no, I thought that since they can collect stuff from wishlist, they could do the same for dev you follow, so you would have all the giveaway of the games said dev or publisher you follow appearing in their own category.

My favorite developer has shut down their studio, it would be nice to get notifications if they ever come back and release another game

I think that it's possible directly on Steam if you can still follow them.

This should be in the suggestion section of the forum? (https://www.steamgifts.com/discussions/bugs-suggestions)

You're absolutely right, locking that one and moving it to the appropriate section.
