I've heard about Ayreon, never really listened, but I recognize Hansi Kursch's vocal in this song.

Ayreon is great! I've only listened to the Into the Electric Castle album but I love it

My favourite album is "01011001", although the "The Human Equation" is a close second with my favourite Ayreon song in it:
"Loser".
While the themes of the latter album diverge from the usual scifi topics, it manages to hit such emotional tones, its hard to put in words. I just dig it. Maybe because of the more personal aspect. Loser is especially wild and as a person who generally prefers rock, it manages to stand out, even among other songs I hold exceptional.

In my honest opinion, Ayreon is exceptional. Its a one-man band (with guest-performers for each project), led by the genius behind it all, Arjen Lucassen.
Their songs sound great and distinct, while the lyrics are telling stories, like in a rock opera.
Its brilliant! I realize its not for everyone, I rarely meet people who have even heard about it.
But I wonder, how many of us here on SG have?
