Perhaps when it's autumn and the leaves are falling?

When it's forever autumn, do you get a forever sale? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsCdlX-5UjE

And when exactly is Autumn considering each country has different Autumn months. Since this is Steam Valve USA so I have no clue about Autumn Sale in the past year on Steam. Only reason why I ask is I just started putting money into my steam this year so I would like to know how often or time do we get big season sales.

Also I moved from Pirated to Original games thus why this year I decided to go Original games so I'm new to steam even though my steam account is 3years old.

I've only been on Steam for a year or two so I'm not overly familiar with these autumn/spring sales, but I believe there should be a sale around the Halloween (late October).

I don't remember anything specifically called an Autumn sale the past couple of years, but then my memory isn't perfect.

I can remember a Halloween one a couple of years back, not sure about last year. Then there was one around Thanksgiving/Black Friday/Cyber Monday time both years. Winter sale quickly followed last year.

Edit: Last year's Thanksgiving time one started on the 26th of November and was called the Steam Exploration Sale.
Re-edit: There was in fact a Halloween one last year too.

I wonder when the next big sale will be too. I hope they'll have something before Winter Sale.

I also hope the next sale wont be as awful as the last Summer Sale.

Really? I kinda like this summer sale as it had most of the games i wanted. Except for some Double/Triple A games because they didnt really look discounted. cough GTAV cough

This Summer Sale was the first steam sale I had steam wallet for and I was very disappointed. Even all the indie games I wanted didn't get a decent enough discount.

I only ended up buying 4 games and 1 DLC.

+1 First time I actually had the wallet prepared by selling cards and haven't even spent 1/4 of it. And in case anyone's thinking I put a lot of money in it or sold a huge amount of cards... There was maybe 20€ on it...

I think I should probably start selling my unneeded cards too. Especially since more and more traders prefer taking SoG over cards nowadays.

But every time I think about doing it I remember I'd have to put hundreds of them on market one by one and I'm like:

One by one?!?!
Do you seriously think I was crazy enough to do that? xD
Hell no, use Steam Inventory Helper and put them all at once. :D

Oh, I remember a friend telling me to install SIH ages ago but I forgot to check it out.

I tested it now and it does seem to have some bugs when trying to sell multiple items at once. Error pops up telling me that I can't sell specific items even though they're marketable and then I have to refresh inventory and do it again.

But it's much better then selling stuff one by one that's for sure. Thanks for reminding me about SIH, I'll be using that from now on I think.

I really hate the fees the come with selling the cards, especially with the lower valued ones.
I've been experimenting to try to find a way around it.
We'll see what happens.

Yeah, you got a card for ''5'' cents, but you get like 3, it's almost 50% :/ There should be a way to stack cards in order to make those 15% of fees be the fifteen freaking percent.

They should just make it so that items sold at certain prices have fixed cuts rather then %

They do - for stuff under 20 cents, it's 2 cents of tax :P

Aaaah I see. Then they should make it so that tax for stuff under 10 cents is only 1 cent!

1 cent for Valve (for owning Steam) and 1 cent for game owner.

Yeah it definitely sucks but I doubt Valve will do anything about it. I will probably only sell the ones that are 0.10 and above or something like that, haven't decided on the minimum yet.

There isn't annualy Autumn Sale - there may be some kind of seasonal sale for Thanksgiving, there may be other short small sales like current ones - but these usually feature just few games and do not give big discounts. There will be halloween sale around halloween (duh!) featuring horror/zombie/etc games with usual discounts, but again - nothing special. Closest big sale will be Winter sale in December/January - there you can hope for big discounts, daily deals, meta event, card earnings etc. Sooner tan that rather nothing special.

Isn't annual Black Friday sale called Autumn Sale?

But yeah, Summer and Winter sale are the biggest ones.
