Maybe I'm wrong, but I think it's obvious no one is really submitting the complete collection, but the humble bundle. Since it's the same games, the only difference is the points generated and cost to enter. I don't think it's necessary then to have both be offered to people to giveaway. I say take off the complete collection and have people only able to offer the humble bundle as a giveaway. It could go the other way if that makes more sense points-wise. But I really feel there should be consistency with the giveaways.

Also when registered The Humble Bundle gives the message "Frozenbyte Retail Key Redeemed" adding more confusion.

I think people should be able to submit any legit steam game they want.

This is true it shouldnt be limited because some dickhead wants it off

Well, it's not "legit", it's misleading.

agreed. It's misrepresenting the Giveaway.

I don't think you all understand. People are submitting the "Frozenbyte Bundle", which could have been bought for a penny as "Frozenbyte Complete", which generates a fuckton of points, and is a dick move.

It should be covered under "Don't make fake(fraudulent/misrepresenting) giveaways." Should get removed/warning/eventually a ban.

The other option is Removing Point generation from FronzenByte Collection. Sorry folks, people are abusing it and have been since day One. Then drop the points down to 5 like the Humble Bundles.

people might like it because it generates more points but I doubt it's better for the site as a whole.

The best I can recall is Cult (or someone else who's name starts with a C, they all blend together unless I can remember their avatar at times) saying that it is better to make a frozenbyte complete collection as a humble frozenbyte bundle for some reason. Perhaps because it would generate fewer points or because more people could enter?

I've been against cheesing the system from the beginning. I get rage-filled when I see people submitting what is clearly the Frozenbyte Bundle as Frozenbyte Complete, and it makes me want to kill all the things.

I believe CG is still coding together a system for Mod privileges for banning. It's also Monday, people have work.

The fact that some guy/chick put up 4 giveaways of the frozenbyte colletion and says that there's no difference to the humble frozenbyte bundle kinda cheeses me off, sure, but it's how he/she/it is trying to somewhat what abuse the point system by causing users to spend 4 times what they should be spending in the first place.

I don't think removing the Frozenbyte Collection is the proper method to tackle this problem, because they could actually be putting up the legit Frozenbyte Collection, which can be bought on Steam.

The problem is the humble bundle kinda threw a wrench into the system, so this puts a burden on the mods when people abuse the system, which is rather easy to do it seems

Something definitely needs to be done, but simply removing something that can be legitimately purchased doesn't feel like the right way to do it.

but honestly, with all the humble bundles being given out, who would pay $30 to give away the complete collection? it just doesn't really make sense. maybe one or two people but I don't see it being any large number.

This was exactly what I was thinking a few hours ago. At least be honest with it and not inflate your "value" artificially - list it as a humble.

1) Ban all accounts from listing Frozenbyte collection.

2) On receiving an email from a user which shows the Steam receipt for Frozenbyte collection that user has the ban removed for their next created giveaway.

3) ????

4) Profit.

Quoting myself from the other thread:

Imho, the Humble Frozenbyte Bundle should be removed from here, so it doesn't get abused like that. And remove the Frozenbyte Collection while you're at it, because it contains the same 3 games for more points. And that is being abused even as I type this.

PS: I have seen several times now that people make several single-copy giveaways of Frozenbyte Collection, instead of a single giveaway with multiple copies. There should be a guideline against that, I think. Anyone agree?

PPS: People buying hundreds of Humble keys for 1ct each only hurts the developer's cause. they get less for their key than they have to spend supplying people with keys. don't be a dick towards the devs, give them a dollar per key at least.

Frozenbyte Collection is different from frozenbyte humble bundle.

If its really frozenbyte humble bundle, and assuming the one how send the gift forwards the email with the code to humbe bundle page, who receivers the gift also gets jack claw and splot pre order.

But frozenbyte collection only gives both shadowgrounds and trine.

They are different but when the key is put in they both register as "Frozenbyte Retail Key" making it impossible to truly track which one you're getting.

but if the guy gifting say its frozenbyte humble bundle, he should forward the email with the link to humble bundle site, and not give just the key.
