I have is on original copy i shop game on dvd send to my post box many year ago ,
Star Wars Battlefront II multiplayer ,,
I dont know if can use game any more to play multiplayer .whit my key .
install is old game ,,,, see if are any last patch or some thing ,,,,for game

I have an old copy on disc and I have the steam download one...
The patch is meant to work on both (the location of the files is just different)...
The disc version's key doesn't work on Steam, but still works to install as a standalone copy...
Either way you can still get on the SWBF servers as long as you use the edited exe...

I just fired up the original steam exe (the backup I made) and the new exe, and I can't find a first order map...?

Hey gang!
Star Wars Battlefront II was, and still is, an awesome game... playing as a rebel or an imperial trooper in land battles on different planets in the star wars universe...
Seeing as it's available in the current Humble Bundle, I thought I'd let anyone who's interested know that multiplayer is possible again...
I'm not sure if I saw this on here, or if I found it somewhere else...
It's a replacement for the main exe...

There are instructions on the download page, and you can reach the downloads from the main page...
I experimented a bit, and even did some hex editing, but I found the best way to get it to work was to copy the new exe into the BF2 gamedata folder and rename it to the original exe's name (rename the original to backup before you do this in case you're unsure about it)...
Change the exe's compatability to admin and allow it through the firewall (so it can reach the multiplayer servers)...
Having done it this way you can still start the game through the steam launcher with no problems...
There aren't many people on the servers right now, only a couple when I was on there earlier, but hopefully with this bundle sale, and the multiplayer patch, there will be more on there soon... There are still ai opponents and ai team mates, even if no-one is on at the time...
Anyway, I hope this helps a few people get online together, and if you accidentally mess up your original game files, just verify your files through steam and it will redownload the original game files for you...
