I'm english, so I figure speaking english properly shouldn't be a problem for me :P. I'm a guy, so probably the male roles wold be most suited for me, the grumpy old man or the spooky voice, or if necessary, the narrator (not sure I'll have so much time that a narrator with so many lines would be doable, though). I also have a higher end mic set up (a blue yeti with a shield).

I guess that counts me out doing a voice over. I've always thought that the sound of my voice can be rather annoying at times.
Best of luck on the project. I hope you get some talented people to help you create your game.

I can give it a go. I can try a spooky voice or a NPC male character if needed. May not be the best, but you don't know unless you try.

American, but I can send you a varied voice clip I did for a potential blog-reading gig a couple years ago. They emailed me back, but months later when I'd gotten busy with other projects.
Drop me a line at gmail. The username shouldn't be too difficult to figure out. :P
If it works well for what you have in mind, cool -- if not, no worries.

Sounds interesting, but I don't think I can participate, as I don't have any way of recording my voice afaik :/

I would love to help. I'm an American male.(with a Californian accent if that matters.) I would love to do some of the NPC male voices. I can also try being the narrator, but I can't promise I would be great at that. I am willing to spend a couple hours working out kinks if needed though. Contact me on steam or this thread if you are interested.

I'd be interested in helping out with voicework. If I don't hear from you then I'll assume you already have what you need.

are there only people allowed inside the US,UK and Canada?

I don't really have a dramatic voice or have much experience... Still, sounds interesting. I'm a female from UK, if you really need someone else then I guess you could do some test lines (I don't actually have a mic, will have to borrow my brother's though which is easy to do but not sure how high quality it is) it could be quite fun, after all. Best of luck with the game!

Short story:
Need volunteers to record voice overs for a casual game I'm making for my winter not-a-puzzle giveaway. People from UK preferred because English is their native tongue, but I guess US and Canada would be fine if you are really into helping with this.
A bit longer story:
Now and then I make a puzzle that is not a puzzle, in a way that you have to download and play the game that I made in order to enter a hidden giveaway... or several of them. Example 1, 2 - there's more but it's late, and I can't really search now but maybe you remember "You good, them bad. Pew, pew!"or something like that.
This time I'm doing something a bit more serious (casual puzzle game with a backstory), and I need several different voices for characters in order to make it really nice (not promising a new Braid, but I think most people will enjoy it despite the shortcomings).
I already have a plan for the story and all the HD sprites that I need for the main character. The exact lines are not written yet, because I want them to be rhymed (as a running gag) and that will take some time, as I am not a native speaker. That said, I'm guessing there's nothing bad in opening this topic now, so interested people could apply early.
My plan is to have the final version of the script before this weekend, and upload the finished game sometimes around Monday (GMT). As I said, it's a small, casual puzzle game, but it will have some interesting features that will, at least I hope, appeal to the puzzle solvers.
If applying to provide the voice, please be sure to write the country you live in, and what voice you are applying for.
Game will be freeware, so no payment of any kind - except credits of course, and what fame being an actor in such a project can provide.
Thanks for reading!
