BlazBlue and Guilty Gear, one of the King of Fighter games. Maybe the Mortal Kombat Kollection if you don't mind the originals.

Both those games look fun thanks. I have Mortal Kombat on 360 and i don't think my computer can run it.

Brawlhalla is "PC Gamer's Super Smash Bros." in a very general sense. Is in closed beta, but it's easy to get into (without spending money).

Guacamelee is a good 2D Beat-'em-up. The only game I know where being a chicken is an integral part of the game.

Rogue Legacy is a great 2D rogue-like fighter. Been thinking of learning to speedrun it.

None of them are like Mortal Kombat or Skullgirls, but all are worth the time investment.
