The empire strikes back!

Though I don't think that another trilogy will add anything to the saga

I don't think it's so much about adding to the saga as adding to the world. Like they did with TV and comics in the early 2000's
Honestly, I'd rather they do something like this that's not directly related to the original trilogy

I don't consider myself a big fan of SW despite having watching the films more than once (except the last two). Didn't feel prone to the tv series (even if they are loved not only by fans), etc.

So maybe is that, for me, the best things ever made are the ones who are less involved with the films: KOTOR, KOTOR2 and the Kyle Katarn Trilogy (although the are 4 videogames with him, Katarn is just a secondary in Jedi Academy).

Diesney has been 'canonizing' stuff from the old republic, so maybe they want to do that.

As the films, Empire Strikes Back is the only good one.

When Jyn Erso's name was revealed, I was fully expecting a character named Karl Caturl.

Star Wars universe is big enough and developed enough to allow for movies outside of the Skywalker-related stuff for sure.
Go Old Republic, dive deeper into the various bounty hunters, or just follow from Rogue One and focus on the rest of the Rebel Alliance. Like the exploits of Rogue Squadron outside of their brief appearances in the main movies.

I'm looking forward to something like "Fett (maybe something resembling the canceled 1313)" or "Kenobi (not based on the John Jackson Miller novel of the same name)," or "Jinn (please bring Liam Neeson back)." Maybe "Kanata" or "Yoda?" Bringing Legends stories from the Old Republic era or about the Celestials would be cool, too. Not sure if the story threads from the Aftermath Trilogy will get resolved by the end of IX, so maybe new films about what Palpatine was observing and looking for or maybe even The Chiss Ascendancy would work. Perhaps these new movies will follow a format like that of "From a Certain Point of View?" Who knows.

Your list is missing Clone Wars. Not to be confused with The Clone Wars, the movie, or The Clone Wars, the series. Clones clones clones. The word has lost all meaning now.

It goes under the A Legends or Non-Canon Work option. The poll doesn't allow for enough options to list everything. The Holiday Special is listed separately just for fun. I wasn't sure whether to include Star Wars Blips.

Well, you win anyway, since I didn't know about Blips.

Tartakovsky's versions of Mace Windu and Grievous were amazing, though.

Clone Wars also did a better job with foreshadowing Anakin's fall to the dark side. Creepy and effective.

Overall, the action was completely over the top and not to be taken literally, of course, but it was still good stuff.

Da f*ck? They're not even half way through with the current trilogy and they also have two more spin-offs to do, isn't this overkill?

Back in the day we had to wait a few years between each movie and a couple decades between trilogies, now they have a new one each christmas, people are going to get tired really fast.

I'm a sucker for pretty sci-fi movies so they still have my attention, but I'm definitely abandoning the boat after episode IX.

I remember VII as a good movie but I'm aware that it being the first Star Wars movie I've seen in a cinema since episode I and the fact that it was a weekend that I have fond memories of (for other reasons) might be skewing my view, I haven't rewatched it but I'm not sure I want to, I would rather leave that memory as it is.

That's pretty much my view on it as well. I'm really starting to dislike Disney. I'll give The Last Jedi a chance, but unless it blows me away, I think I'm done with the franchise.

That update saying that 1313 wouldn't be affected made me sad, we really can't trust disney with games, not after what they did to Lucas Arts :(

No, Disney closed Lucas Arts and cancelled all games being developed soon after buying the parent company, then they gave the rights to EA to make Star Wars games.
Back then Disney was closing every game studio they owned and giving the IPs to other publishers, for some weird reason.

My interest in Star Wars has waned over the years, but my favorite was The Phantom Menace...and for one reason only: that final lightsaber battle between Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan, and Darth Maul. AND DAT MUSIC: The Duel of the Fates!

1st trilogy is good, but too funny/retarded to watch nowdays. Of the second trilogy only The Phantom Menace is good. But Rogue One is by far the best Star Wars movie ever. Less bullshit, more drama, great characters.
