yes and no
As a kid, I had those games in physical form, a bunch of CDs, but over time, I lost/damaged them all, moved residence, grew up, etc, and now all I have from those games is good memories and nostalgia.
Now, I only gotten into buying bundles this year, so I am missing the majority of those older games.
So for me, it is T3 buy, so I can gather all those games from my childhood and put them back into my (now Steam) collection
There are many people who did not participate in bundles for a plethora of reasons, and are just now getting started, or may do so in the future, so for me it is great to see any of those "10 years too late" bundles come to life, as I have missed all of them.

You understand your reason but only buying a license, that can be revoked at any time, is something else as really owning the games.
So if someone buy the games at gog.com (where they really own the games and not only a licence), in such cases, i understand it much more.

The moment Steam starts revoking licenses from people's libraries is the day that Steam dies.
Also, do you really own GOG games?
To own anything on GOG means having your own personal backup of every game, patch, and DLC, manually downloaded to your drive. Do you have every GOG game, patch, and DLC installer downloaded to your computer/drive at all times? If not, then you are in the same situation as with Steam, because if your account gets suspended, hacked, or GOG stops functioning, or you lose access to it in any other way, then you practically lose the possibility to download those installers that you "own". So, aside from the possibility of downloading GOG installers when everything works, I don't see much difference from Steam, as I don't have tens of terabytes of free space to store all those installers.
And buying physical copies is also no longer possible, as many games dont even have physical versions, or have minimum data and rely on downloading from servers anyway. Plus all the physical space anyway.
Yes, the "licensing" of all of this sucks, but it is the best we have, and even that is in danger because of the push for subscription models everywhere (at least from big companies)

Revoking of steam licenses happen "all the time".
Mostly initiated by crap/scam devs but sometimes from unexperienced devs too and other cases.
In the most cases many years after the licenses got bought and activated.
Search in the discussions and you find at sg a lot of such threads.
Steam don't die because of it, they are too big and people support the, nearly, monopoly situation of steam instead to buy their stuff at gog.
You are able to download the bought games at gog and burn CD/DVDs, install them on harddrives, load them in images to simulate CD/DVD drives and so on.
But yes, theoretical you could lose the possibility to re-download the bough gog games but i see this chance much lower as the risk of revoked licenses at steam because gog never had problems that people couldn't download the games they own but steam have each (few) week(s) revoked licences problems.

you don't need to answear, it was just an observation. i guess most of us here on SG like to collect (and play, of course) games.
it goes without saying that GOG is doing a better job than steam at preserving games. but, at the end of the day, steam has it's advantages and unless steam starts revoking licenses for no "real reasons" then we all do what we must do: collect games that we one day maybe will play. just like i do now, having some spare time and playing some RTT, and i think i will once again redownload and replay desperados wanted dead or alive. it's there in my library, hopefully for as long as i live :)
on topic now, speaking of rtt games, this bundle would really suit me, with commandos 2&3 remastered, but i read some not so good reviews and i am on doubt it it's worth it.

so it's a dev problem, not a steam one. those devs would probably revoke licenses on every store they sell.
what would be the alternative? buying from GOG? not all games are available there.
buying physical? same thing. and let's not even mention older games. but i know, older games usually are available at GOG.
