Thanks for the heads up on the DLC, almost missed that!

I'm not really sure if they just don't receive the game, or if they indeed can't activate the key. I'm waiting for more info on that.
Comment has been collapsed.
When checking the bundle on Humble it shows me that game as being included, so it's not like it's not being sold in Argentina, couldn't tell you if the key activates cos I'm not planning to buy this bundle (a bit too expensive). I checked steam.db and didn't found any region lock, so no clue of why it says that, unless it has to do with pricing issues, but so far that was on the Steam store not for keys.

sub/840002 is now fully indexed and it's indeed not redeemable in those 4 countries.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah I can't think of a reason why for that. The wallet codes thing is to prevent people from region switching to AR/TR and making used of the particularly low prices in those countries.
Comment has been collapsed.
It's like they tried to address the problem but from the wrong angle, really odd.
BTW it's not even a particularly effective block tho. When I got a couple of wallet codes from lootboy a couple of months ago at first I tried to get a replacement one through support, but when that failed I did some research and found a reliable way of circumventing the restriction. You just need a US account where you can activate the codes and then buy market items put for sale by the target account from the restricted region, even with the cut that valve takes it ends up being less than the taxes that I pay when paying with a credit card, not to mention the games are still cheaper (usually) than the first world prices. But it's still absurd that I have to jump through hoops while legitimately living in here just because they couldn't find a way to stop those doing the country hopping to exploit price differences. And even then, what if someone physically travels to other country to buy cheaper games? They shouldn't stop them, and for some is as simple as crossing the river, no VPN required.
Sorry for the rant.

Nope, the only thing that Steam currently accepts is credit cards, and other types of cards that their system sees as credit such as the ones from payment apps. As long as it's a card that requires an ID and it's from Visa or Mastercard. But no actual debit cards from a bank tho.
There used to be more options a few years ago but they all got dropped over time, even paypal, they really don't want anyone from outside the country buying from here with a VPN.

I think I've received it five times in different bundles, but it's always nice to give to people!

Especially since the charity for this one is the Trevor Project. Great charity!
Comment has been collapsed.
I've made sure to check on that ever since it was first pointed out to me years ago. They make it a lot harder to see nowadays, but it didn't stop me from giving the lion's share to charity. =P

Bundles with Celeste are always nice, didn't own some games like Boyfriend Dungeon etc., which i had an eye on.
Decent price too, let's go. And yeah giving to charity and adjusting the slider is nice too for a cause.

Two wishlisted, one that would've been wishlisted if I saw it before this bundle, and two I'm curious enough about to try. It'd be three wishlisted if I didn't already have Celeste; definitely going to make sure that gets into some good hands. =) The only oddity for me is Get In The Car, Loser! I have that one in my account already. I think it was free for a while and then they attached a price tag to it?
Thanks for the chart! <3

FWIW I had issues running it on epic but not on Steam. I think the Epic version uses OpenGL while the Steam version uses DirectX by default.. and it crashes half the time on launch on Epic but not on Steam for me. Maybe many people won't have this issue, but having the ability to switch between OpenGL and DirectX on the Steam version makes it superior to me because of the issue I experienced.

Ooh I've had Later Alligator and Bad End Theater on my wishlist for a while and Growing Up/Get in the car Loser looks interesting too....although I recently bought Humble Choice so I'm not fully sure if I want to buy another bundle so soon.
On the other hand it supports the Trevor project.

Own Celeste already.
Growing Up, Boyfriend Dungeon are in WL for a long time, know nothing about the last game in T2.
BAD END THEATER, Later Alligator interested me.
T2 for me.

Does Celeste, Later Aligator, and Bad End Theater all feature LGBTQ characters? Or is it just the creators supporting the cause? Just kind of scratching my head over some of the selection given the bundles theme.
Comment has been collapsed.
I believe all 3 of those feature LGBT characters, the rest of the bundle is just a lot more overt about it

Madeline, the protagonist of Celeste, is trans. The game is very vague about her backstory but the creator later confirmed it when people started asking about it.
Personally, I didn't notice the clues since the story mostly focuses on her anxiety.

I did a quick search and it looks like the main character of Celeste was just someone with emotional challenges she was trying to overcome, and the 'Farewell' part that was added later retconned her into being trans due to the developer feeling it was an easy fit with the rest of the story.
Anyhow, bought the bundle :)

Makes sense, I didn't play any of the extra content after the main ending since it required me to go back and get all the strawberries and B sides, and I had already struggled just getting some of those. I know the game has assist modes but I'm kinda strong headed when it comes to platformers and always go with the default difficulty.
Comment has been collapsed.
Don't worry, I never really noticed the gender-related undertones either XD
I think some games try too hard, and some not enough.
There wasn't much story in Celeste to merit a strong gender theme, so with / without Farewell, you didn't really miss anything.
Comment has been collapsed.
My guess is that the main hint was meant to be that Madeline seems to have a rocky relationship with her mother, but at the time I interpreted it as her mother not understanding all the social anxiety Madeline experiences and pushing her too much as a consequence. As I said, everything about her backstory is quite vague, and I actually think that's a strength because the game clearly tries to be relatable for a wider audience.
If anything I really appreciated that the big difficulty spike was after the main ending instead of expecting every player to become an expert just to see the conclusion to the story, too many games become exercises in frustration towards the end for no good reason (looking at you, every SNK final boss). As an example, to this day I resent Brütal Legend for getting so hard in the very last couple of missions that I simply couldn't be asked to keep trying to beat it and had to quit after mostly enjoying the experience up until that moment.

This might be spoilers for Celeste and Bad End Theater, but they are pretty old. Still, marked for possible spoilers. Madeline is a transwoman. The game can be taken to be about the hardships a transwoman goes through in some ways.
Bad End Theater is yuri. Basically, the demoness and the maiden are related to the main chars in a way. It's better explained once you get all the endings and such.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yea, just looked it up and seems as of the 'Farewell' section of Celeste being added she became trans.
Bad End Theater having such characters somehow doesn't surprise me. Will have to get all those endings!
Comment has been collapsed.
This is just for Bad End Theater, since I kinda have 'played' it with a friend who has the game. To be honest, only one ending matter. And well, it ties it all together. And then there's fluff in the end. Pretty much worth an hour or two of your time, assuming you are a fast reader and use the built in guide to 'rush' endings while skipping already read stuff..

Seems like an easy decision to make... get the bundle and lots of other games for free, essentially. Lots of good stuff in there.
Comment has been collapsed.
Foxhack wants the other games, so you can work a deal out...
But $2 more for loads more games which could be good... no brainer for me.
