Cards - Craft or sell them?

I either sell or trade:D got no interest in crafting as at the end of the day it doesn't really mean anything:P

If you think that is stupid sell them, you will get the same if you craft them.
I think steam lvl is useless too.

I myself am going to simply keep them in my inventory and see where this trading card business goes. Logically, cards should eventually (in a couple of years perhaps) get far rarer, as a single account can only get half of a deck (and that is for a level 1 badge). Afaik, the current max. level of badges is 5, that means it takes 10 people's drops for one person to max out one game's badge.

Well, EXP gives you more chance to win extra boosters, but besides that, i would just sell everything. Got a good background for like $0.20, and think emoticons are completelly useless.

You can most of time find someone willing to give you some good Coupons everywhere, but im not sure if you can craft coupons of expensive games, like the new CoD, CoH2, BI, Skyrim Legendary... Then it could be worth a try.

I'd recommend to sell.

I'd say only craft badges for games that you really like and sell the other games' cards. That's what I do anyways.

Myself, I crafted a Faerie Solitaire badge (and levled it up to lvl 5, so technically I crafted 1 badge 5 times... or something). I plan on getting a Crusader Kings 2 badge, and a Triple Town one too, both lvl 5 of course. Possibly foils too, but that would be in maybe half a year or more, if I feel like it. All other cards I get will be sold on market or swapped for CK2/TripleTown cards. Might make a Isaac badge sometime, because it's a good game, but I'm not sure.

If this were pre-beta I'd say sell. As it stands now you are going to have a hard time selling unless they are for a little played game or you do a pretty big under cut.

Hold on to them. I don't how how many drops psyconauts has but 5 x 0.25 doesn't really buy you anything. In a few years when they have series 3 cards or there aren't many cards left on the market they might actually be worth something to a collector. I'm not really into TF2 but some of the original hats are worth some money?

Sell those you don't want to craft and craft those which games you love.

If you're going to sell them, you might as well do it now. The value of all the cards has already dropped dramatically since the beta went public, so don't expect the prices to get any better. Keep the ones you want to craft and get rid of the rest.

Thanks for all the replies. I think I will sell them for money. The background seems useless. I would very much prefer some nude Playboy models instead of stupid geek cartoons as backgrounds.

I won't actively pursue them, and any I do get simply by playing games I like will get sold. I'm not interested in buying or trading for them, so I'll never actually get a badge... and having a handful of cards sitting around does me no good.

All or nothing. Since I won't be crafting, I'll be selling.

With any luck, it'll buy me a cheap game or DLC somewhere down the line. Or at least a nice background to pretty up the ol' profile page.

Sell them. Levels, badges and cards are useless to me, with money on my Steam Wallet I can get games more cheap, or even free.

Personally, I won around 20€ during the beta, I still have ~35 cards that worth 0,20€ each + a foil for 3€ (at the actual price), I take the risk to keep them in my inventory, if Valve adds a new feature that make these cards needed to be cool on Steam and provides a bigger e-penis to the collectors, I probably make more profit later.
At worst I don't win 10€ on my Steam wallet, but as many people, I stopped buying my games on steam store, with Amazon and GMG (principally), I can have every game I want for less cheaper, and I don't talk about the bundles...
Anyway, I don't care about these cards, it's a good thing, I can bought some games for free during the summer sale, and I thanks Gaben for this.
That's my feeling about theses cards, I can't help you, nobody know what can happen with the market in the future.

I just craft for games I really like, except for Faerie Solitaire, that badge just looked neat.

Trade cards for smileys and backgrounds you really want (most of them is really cheap) and sell all other cards.
