As the title states, a Twitch games CLAIMS he beat Elden Ring without taking damage of any kind.

I'm calling MASSIVE BS right there. Mainly because it was done on 4/1. April Fools Day. That right there is a HUGE red flag.

Even if this is true, i don't understand these people that want to practise this to perfection and try to do it.

For the same reason people opt not to use the Serpent-Hunter to fight the God-Devouring Serpent, because they can.

The date is very sus nevertheless I'm convinced it could be done in theory. Looking at Dark Souls 0 damage speed runs in particular. Personally I admire these players who demonstrate a deep love and understanding of the game although for me it seems too single-minded.

There is a streamer who completed all three Dark Souls games one after another without getting hit, so this isn't at all surprising. It can definitely be done

The worst part is all these "media'" outlets that reprint those hoax and claims for clickbait as if it was true. They don't see the date, they don't really care whether it's true or not and then it goes around as if it was true because hey, they said it on Screenrant, yahoo, gamingwhatever.com, so it must be true, right?

Anyway I'm pretty sure there are "trainers" available already so even if he had a video, that wouldn't prove he did it fair and square.

All other soulsborne games have been completed damageless so dont know why anyone wouldn't believe this one would be also. Im sure if a twitch streamer did it there should be a vod, if not they might be lying but will happen some time its just a matter of when. Checked the article and it even has the vod listed so you can check it out yourself.

Based on the previous Soulsborne games, it would be unusual if the game couldn't be completed without taking a hit from an enemy.
Obviously, claiming doing something without proof is just noise.

Damn these would be so easy to fake. Just make a trainer with an on/off switch for god mode, and fool everyone by turning it on and off here and there. Bhop speedrunners do it all the time so yeah, wallhackers do the same with their cheats. This one's even better and easier to do cause who cares you're streaming, there's no one actually watching him and it's not a new pc, also, there's no keyboard pov, so you can't see if he's the one actually pressing dodge. You could make a cheat that ignores damage but every time you were supposed to take damage it also presses/calls the dodge key for you, and now it looks more realistic. Bind this cheat to a key and turn it on and off throughout the levels to say oh I gotta restart I took damage here, and there you make a wr. Now you just spend 100-200 hours learning the basics of the game pretty much and then go at it. These souls games also make it super easy because the action always looks like it's lagging so you'll always have a hard time telling whether or not something did or didn't happen. Not saying his specifically is fake, just too easy to fake this type of record. Too many streamers getting caught cheating as well or getting dev boosts.

Was the run already confirmed by speedrun that it deserves an article(not that speedrun is some sort of 100% confirmation, old records turned out to be fake)? If indeed true this isn't bad for someone whos job is to farm elden ring, it is known to be a super buggy game atm. The only problems I have with this is that it's not done live at GDC on a fresh install on a pc not owned by the user and we wouldn't know if they plugged anything in the pc anyways and it's not really no damage because every time he takes damage he restarts. I guess I am picky and a bit of disbeliever.

Just an FYI. There's a decent amount of people who have beaten it without taking damage now.

This isn't one of those runs, but here's Any% Unrestricted Speedrun word record, 12:32.
