thats really sad...honestly I think the amount of copies where even higher than the amount of people that would actual play it....I was totally surprised to win it and now I have a conversation with a bull? in his bar...I hope you get another chance for this game,

I entered EVERY AR-K GA and won none. I want to win one too. Here's an idea. If you are only going to regift it, then DON'T FUCKING ENTER! There are other, more deserving, people that actually want to play these games.

Why is regifting considered so bad? If someone doesn't plan on playing a game then isn't it better that they give it to someone who wants to play it? It would, of course, be better if they didn't enter but for a 10,000 gift giveaway, a lot of people will enter regardless.

On top of the above reasons, they also get CV when making a giveaway when they haven't spent anything so didn't really "contribute" any value. That's the reason they do it mostly - so they can enter those CV giveaways without putting anything in themselves.

Yay! 1 for 1. Glad I won this game, thought it looked interesting when the devs were making lots of GAs promoting it whilst on Greenlight. Bought a copy when it first came on Steam but I made a giveaway out of it. It's good to now own it :)

This site needs a feature than checks a gifters profile to see if they have won the game they are trying to regift and if it matches, prevent them from regifting.

Still not sure about that. I've entered for giveaways of a game whilst having an open giveaway for the same game myself before.
On at least one occasion I've won a game that was on sale at the time, saw it was popular and then decided to buy a copy and give it away myself in the same group so that people would get another chance. I was also lacking imagination when it came to deciding what to giveaway as my required GA in the group that month :p

What the site needs is a mechanism for automatically checking that a user has activated all gifts they have marked as received. While it would no doubt have its technical challenges, I can't believe it is not possible.

It is and should be pretty simple since they already check if we own the game to enter a giveaway. They could just do a simple double check:
if game won AND game activated > OK
if game won and not activated > not possible to regift

It's a matter of getting the heuristics right. The important thing would be not simply checking whether one is giving the same game that has already been won, but checking for games which have been won and marked "received" before the most recent sync and not present in one's Steam account during that sync.

I've had this game in my wishlist since I saw it pop up on Steam this past summer. I'll buy it when they finish all of the episodes, but I was still hoping to win it. IMO re-gifting should be a permanent ban.
As usual, I'll be reporting any re-gifting I see, but still enter just in case. If one were to win a re-gifted game, should they mark it not received since the gifter doesn't deserve the CV for re-gifting to begin with.

Good decision to wait if you would like to enjoy the game, at this stage of development it isn't very enjoyable and should be marked as early alpha with this interface, bugs, animations glitches an so on.
I don´t want to be ungrateful, cause I appreciate that they did this giveaway. But on the other hand now I understand their "Please, if you like the game, give it a positive review. " and "If you have any issue or anything that you don't like, please, add me and tell me, and I'll try to solve it as soon as possible.
I'm absolutely beta-testing this game now, writing down everything I notice and will give them a list and suggestions . I will not write a review at this stage, it would be definitely not good.
