People are selling their common crates for like, $250.
Guess that Valve needs to set items prices by their own. afaik they have TF2 economist for that.

Why? If people are willing to pay that, so be it. However, no sane person will pay that and asking prices will come down.

Actually everyone, except me that is, is selling them for 0.01. Just that the buy price comes with an additional 0.01 transaction fee, so you are seeing them for 0.02.

So, you need to be Premium to do this kind of deals, right? I have some Summer Shades i would like to sell but i don't meet one of the requirements, being premium. To become premium, i only need to buy something from the TF2 Store, right?

You won't be able to sell your Summer Shades yet, it's only consumables for now.
But to answer your question, yes, you only need to buy something in the store to become premium.

It was doing this on a web browser. When I tried with the steam client clicking "market" just sent me back to my profile page. Had to mess about a bit then it prompted me to update, working now.

Working via the steam client, that is. Still not with a browser (Firefox).
