I have just learnt about it from this thread :(. RIP Carlo Pedersoli (his real name) , one of my childhood heroes paired with Terence Hill.
Non-italians may not know it and it's hard to tell from his body type we know, but he also was an olympic-level swimmer before acting.

At a later date when he was an actor one of the things he said during an interview was that he did all his own stunt work because they couldn't find a stunt man in his size.

Normally I don't particularly care when famous people die but this makes me sad.

It was quite an experience when everyone was celebrating Iceland's performance against England on Twitter and then the news about Bud Spencer's death got around. Suddenly nobody cared about football that much anymore, instead childhood memories were shared.

Noooo! Why him? ;_; Why God? Why are you taking away so many people this year and especially Bud Spencer, who was a really talented and good man? :'(

He reached the fine age of 84 86. Still a sad day :(
Was discussing with a few colleagues recently how his films still hold up well today (well, apart from the fact that 70's film technology is kinda rubbish by today's standards)

edit: stupid typo was stupid
