Hacker!!
But what if the goal in this game to cheat and eat as many cake you can at 11 pm? That would be heaven on earth for you? ^^
Or as a side-effect you would lose weight from eating cake? :D
Btw it doesnt seems to me that you need that.

is that game on steam? i searched for it and didn't find it

It is not, however GOG recently added it along with many other games from my childhood that will be taking a lot of my paychecks.
Godus is on Steam, but honestly I would avoid it. This game...sigh. It was the reason behind my vow to never get into an Early Access game again. God damn you Peter for breaking my heart.

I think of Origin like a prostate exam after 30, nobody really enjoys it but it's a necessary evil for life.

Because, the game is taken from your perspective and you are the god. You control the shaman, you shape the earth, you cast Land Bridge and slaughter thousands. So by answering the OP's question "If you could chose one game to be like real life what game would you chose? and why?"
His question isn't what game do you wish real life was like, at least not by the wording this thread was started with. He's asking which game would you like to insert yourself into, meaning if it's a game with a single player perspective i.e. The Witcher 3 say, anyone who picks that would be inserting themselves into the role of Geralt, as he is the center of the story and you are the center of your life story.

Except that is the question, if you read the title it says: "What game would you like to be real life?" and not "what protagonist from a game would you like to be in real life" or "what game would you like to be like real life from the perspective you play as"
The game becoming real life just means that there would be shamans sending people to defeat opposing tribes to gain godhood but there's no guarantee that you'll be the shaman just someone in that world.

You are the central point of real life. It is your life, you are the "title character" so to speak. If the game became real life, the central person in the story is who you would become. Life is your movie, if you made life like Citizen Kane you're going to be dying whispering for a sled not the 3rd background actor in a scene nobody remembers.
You, and a lot of others in this thread, are reading it as a "You wake up in a video game world, what game would you like it to be and why?" The question asking "If you could chose one game to be like real life what game would you chose? and why?" not the title stating "What game would you like to be real life" infers that you (to me) would be the central person, since your real life centers around you.
You could also look at it to say what Video Game universe do you wish was like what the real world has become. Like say Final Fantasy with hipsters and reality TV show stars, etc.

My friend got HuniePop about two months ago, now every time we try to get him out for drinks or to a movie he is "just going to stay at home and game".

you DO realise if it was real life, you would be one of the peasents, not the dragonborn, and likely be killed by a thief or skeleton within the month...
as for me, ill go with mass effect, because of space travel and an entire race of blue space hookers.

Costume Quest :) dress up, kill monsters, eat candy :D

If Skyrim were real, I'm pretty sure we would be some weak peasants that get killed by bandits. I'm not sure I would want to live in Skyrim if I'm not the Dragonborn.

Maybe for you! I would be cool though, and not a some weak peasant noob like you.

At least you can get a wife just by wearing a necklace.

I think everyone here assumes they get to be the main character and not just a normal citizen of the universe of their choice! Sure, being the dragonborn would be amazing in skyrim but being a poor peasant wouldn't be so great :C.
I'd choose Mass Effect's universe. It would be so cool to live in such reality.

In most games the character doesn't know their stats. You as the player know the stats of your character. I would like to be in the anime Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? because I would want to know my stats. I'm sorry I couldn't think of a game equivalent. Dragon Ball Z games aren't detailed enough with power levels. I haven't played Sword Art Online but I would expect there to be some sort of ability awareness in that.
Edit: Actually Fallout's Pip Boy would be sweet :3

Fallout/Wasteland 2 will be real within a few years and in real life noone would enjoy I guess ..except robots maybe? :D
I'd say world of warcraft ..yeah its not a steam game but that wasnt stated it have to be on steam. Chilling with dragons, saving the world ..or worlds would be cool ..as long as there is someone to resurrect me xD

Fallout is so twisted that i wouldn't want to live there. love the game...

Being Dragonborn or not... Medieval era = no toilet paper.
Elder Scrool, Lord of the Rings, Witcher. None of them have this wonderful piece of technology.
But if a man can dream, it would be nice if Geralt was the dragonborn and fight against the forces of Sauron =)

Pick any Star Trek game set in the Next Generation or after.... because the life of an normal person (which I would be) is freaking SWEET in the Star Trek universe. After - you know - the nearly human population destroying wars between now and Star Trek OTG.
Replicators, Holodecks, transporters ==== never having to do anything you don't want to do ever again.
Comment has been collapsed.
Have they ever stated if Holodecks and Transporters are available to the average joe? I mean, when they show earth, it usually shows trams, shuttle crafts and the such, and if everyone had access to transporter tech, then the other modes of transportation would be pointless.
I always just assumed that both transporter technology and Holodeck tech were mainly utilized by the government and Starfleet/Federation. The same way that we have super sonic planes now, but I don't have one.

replicators = everything is free. There is no reason the average joe wouldn't have those things because all anyone with a replicator would have to do is say "Replicator" and the replicator would make another replicator.... Repeat until everyone has a replicator. They could also say "Holodeck parts" or whatever.
Comment has been collapsed.
God, I sound like a nerd...BUT hasn't it been established that replicators are incapable of making complex parts? It's why you can't replicate people or Dilithium. Also for some reason latnium. Also Replicators are a large power drain, it's why Voyager has rations. They also have established that you can recycle items into the replicator, so I'm assuming it needs the base components to replicate...like an ink cartridge.
