Well, you pretty much answered your own question.
If you're an achievements-addict, do play both. Otherwise, there isn't really a point playing the original.

Except that the original actually runs much better for most people.

Yeah, I heard about that. But considering how his question is phrased, Clemmy is implying that he will be playing the remastered version no matter what.

They just cut off multiplayer with its achievements. All other are simillar. Bioshock 2 MP is dead so I don't think you can get these achievements anyway.

Achievement completionists have their way of finding players to boost dead MP cheevos.

It reminds me how many time I spent on Rage MP cheevos.

In that case it depends what you want from the game. If you're an achievement hunter/collector you'll likely want both versions. If not or if you only want to play one version go with the remaster as regardless of any other issues you won't have to deal with the multiplayer.

Jeah, I messed up the punctuation. There shouldn't be a question mark.
But for a second I thought BS1 does actually have achievements and only my german "special" version doesn't show them :)

Achievements were console exclusive along with the DLCs. Remastered includes all that.
