"Max Points" means maximum points EVER they don't ever reset. You need to buy more games or do some other things which can marginally increase the maximum. So you only get to turn 100 points (the amount it increases daily) into points from achievements.

Points are hardly a problem, so not sure why people are talking about "exploits/easy way to earn points" - Just play a game you've already unlocked achievements in, and you'll get more points than you probably even need. the capacity limit is what you'll be running out of fast.

Points are easy to get, so far I've been using the ones I got from achievements on just two games and I'm nowhere even close to running out. The hard part is raising the maximum, it seems like the only way is by spending quite a bit of money.

Stardew Valley probably has the easiest quests to get points very quickly. You get 20 points for every harvest, 10 for every gather. 30 for every fish caught/ monster killed. And 50 points for every bulletin board quest. I got 4000+ points today in about 2.5-3 hours playing.
