you can still find them freeware most places, like castles... maybe just for freespace 2 but i will think about it.

Yes, maybe, but it's low cost. And theye are giving also soundtracks, and much more. And remember, the verions of these games are always actual, I have problem with almost all old games from magazines.

  • Shogo: Anime-styled shooter featuring both Mecha combat and classic (ie human-on-foot) FPS gameplay. Single player has good and diverse missions, a decent enough storyline (if you don't mind the anime cliches), and solid gameplay mechanics. If you've got $3 to spare, this is a good way to spend them :)

EDIT: Apparently, it comes with the soundtrack, too. The soundtrack is so good, I'm buying this even though I already own a copy of the game. (Fair warning: If you don't like J-POP, skip the first track, though)
