Sad news, I loved VA-11 Hall-A and was looking forward to playing this.

I looooved VA-11 Hall-A but didn't hear about this sequel before so thank you for bringing it to my attention!
It's unfortunate that it got delayed but hopefully the final product will be as good as the first game (or even better).

Noooooo I literally checked on the game about a month ago because I hadn't heard much about the development.

VA-11 Hall-A was so awesome :(

Well, the good news is that Fernando learned to share the workload and we'll get more games from them.

My strategy already was keeping it on the bottom on my wishlist and forgetting about it so I can get surprised when it does release.

That's perhaps the best way to approach anything you know you're get crushingly hyped for.
After learning about Spore early into its concept alphas, I'm not willing to go through that again, haha.

After all the storms the studio has been through in 2020, it was expected. Pretty sad to hear it, but I hope they make an even nicer game now. Also, excited for their other projects, that might come out earlier! :D

Hmm, I'm not sure if 'delayed indefinitely' is the right term. It says that they're basically removing the release date and adopting a "when its done" approach so that they don't crush themselves. Usually when I hear 'delayed indefinitely' it was meant that development was halted until some kind of licensing or legal issue was resolved, but that had no immediate plans of being addressed. You know, vapourware or development hell stuff.

Aside from that nitpick (maybe that's just my own misreading of the term), that's an interesting news catch but a sad one for people who were hyped for it. I never did finish the first game but it was surprisingly good for what it was. My constant anxiety prevented me from truly appreciating the overall chill vibe though, maybe I'll give it another shot once my current life stuff settles down.

Nah, you're absolutely right. It hasn't been put in some sort of limbo where it's not being worked on and there's no expectation that it will ever be released - as is the case with "indefinitely" - but is instead undergoing a massing restructuring such that they are actively working on it but have no estimated release date at present.

Sounds like they're doing the right thing, though, and this should help them in the long run with this game and others.

It's fine even if it comes out 10 years later, it's not like they were going for a modern graphics look anyways.
