Thank you for the thread and chart, Sensualshakti! :-)

It's a light game bundle but it's for a good cause. I saw the devastation of that school, the human suffering and the rescue efforts on the TV news, here. Nature can be so dangerously unpredictable and violent. ;_;

Well there is not much we can really do about earthquakes other than not settling down in a high-risk zone, but as far as the recent hurricanes go we as a species are contributing to the frequency of such extreme weather events because of our choices and their effect on global climate change.

I wonder if Mexico also has an earthquake warning system like they do in Taiwan and Japan. And how advanced and reliable these systems are to give an early warning or indication of an imminent earthquake.

There is an alarm that tell about 60 seconds in advance but it only works for the ones comming from the south coast, It did work for the previous one, but this last came form an unexpected place very close to Mexico City.

Thank you, I didn't know that. Sixty seconds doesn't sound much when one lives in a multiple floor building.

Seriously? 60 Seconds? o_O
Until you realize what's going to happen these 60 seconds are over...
Doesn't sound very usefull to me... Well on the other hand, I guess it's pretty hard to pedict an earthquake a few minutes before it's going to happen...

The common epicenters are at around 300 km from the city and the waves travel at around 4km/sec so there is not much you can do.
And the sensors have to corroborate that it is a strong one, I guess that means (there have been 4000 of magnitude 4 or less in the past two week, imagine the alarm triggering for most of them, It would make the whole system useless if no one listened to it anymore)

Since when are groupees bundles still good in the first place? Lately it's often music, books and other rubbish.

The victims of that terrible earthquake in Mexico deserve better than this bundle. I know, it's Groupees and also the thought counts, but still ...

What a terrible bundle! Come on, Groupees, look at the incredible charity bundles that Humble did for the victims of the recent Hurricane(s) and the Mexico earthquake... Oh, wait!

LOL! Well, you can still compare it to the one that was on itch.io, which I do think was MUCH better.

It occurs to me that Groupees could simply pocket all of the 💰 💰 💰 and no one would be the wiser. I guess you could say the same thing about Humble or any other charitable fundraiser but I know who I trust more given their track records.

Rather just donate directly, bundle seems kinda bad.

Same. I usually jump at the chance to help out and get stuff with these bundles. But this one is such a poor attempt to even try. Unless someone else offers a bundle, I'll just skip it and donate directly to orgs I know will help out.

Neither is it mine. Anyway, I do get the reasoning behind why you're mad at poking fun about the incident. But I also don't see why is it bad to try to make people smile when something bad happens, it's not like they're making fun of any lives lost or their families or something alike. I just see it as a "See the good in the bad" thing, you know?
Please do reconsider donating or even sending direct help. Believe me, even just a dollar makes a world's difference.

Cheers.

It's wrong if somebody makes a joke about this kind of catastrophe? Probably no, depending of the joke and to who you ask.

It's wrong if I express my opinion and my disapproval for the people who makes those jokes? If your answer it's yes, why?

If you like to find the good face of the disaster to avoid the pain caused by the lose of some familliar or any material belonging, it's great, fantastic. But I don't share that kind of ideology. Main reason why this kind of people discourage me to help.
