I have heard about some games being free like BF3 and metro 2033 (or even Civ V), but are always too late to get a free copy. How do you guys hear about these giveaways? Are there any going on now?

If you watch the SG forums, there will always be a thread about any free games. Also, the giveaway list will get spammed by pathetic people abusing such offers.

As previously said, I observe this forum. The people that post the topics on this forum likely learn from a Reddit post, whom likely heard it from an insider/email/observation. Quite the vicious chain, really.
