Steam big picture problems?

Picture

I'm on window 7 so it's not the xp problem. Anyone have any ideas?

Max monitor resolution? I think it needs to support certain resolutions itself to be used.

That could be it but the min resolution for big picture is 1280x720.

Hmm. Not sure then. Maybe you could try another cable. Can you use a HDMI cable with your monitor and PC, see how it works with that?

My Steam crashes every time I try to turn Big Picture on... "Bootstrapper stopped working". Same when I try to TURN OFF Steam and it starts syncing. But if I just turn off system, Steam closes without problems and remember settings.
