metroidvania type of game I love it when I played it.

Would've recomended the Modern Warfare series but it will cost way too much.

Anyway I'll recommend you Just Cause 2 although it's incredibly weird story it's a really fun game.

Far cry 3 if you like great and fun action, Metro 2033/Dead Space if you like the thrills and chills, Mirrors Edge if you like parkour and free running, Portal 2 if you like the puzzles, Bioshock Infinite if you like a good story with good characters and some action, and The Last of Us because it's The Last of Us and it's the best game ever created. Hope this helps :D

GTA

Of the ones you listed, Half-Lifes are the best games (I also recommend Opposing Force and Blue Shift). I enjoyed Sniper: Ghost Warrior alot, I've played through it many times. I generally like fps alot so all those games are good. Except Metro 2033 ofc, which is a terrible game. And Painkiller isn't very good. Darksiders is okay. Dead Space is pretty good. My girlfriend absolutely hated Far Cry 1 but I think it was okay:D I don't like any of the GTA games so wouldn't recommend them. Mirror's Edge was pretty meh but I guess still okay. Portal games aren't terribly good but okay I guess. I didn't like Thomas Was Alone or Tiny and Big.

Fallout? Even the classic ones are awesome, if you´re not a graphics-whore :)

Batman, Dead Space and Metro are all very good single player experiences.. especially Dead Space. I would pick that one if you're into horror games. You can even grab Dead Space 1 and 3 from the humble bundle right now, and there are rumors that Dead Space 2 will also be unlocked later on, so can't really go wrong picking Dead Space ;)
