Keep entering giveaways, it'll happen :-).
If you want, say, one of the games from the ongoing Humble Origin Bundle and enter all the giveaways of it you have pretty good chances to win it eventually. That's how I won Mirror's Edge :-). In general, I recommend entering all giveaways of a small selection of games you really want instead of entering scattered giveaways here and there of games you might be interested in. Lurk more often on here when Bundles with games you want come out or it is on sale somewhere (/r/GameDeals/ is your friend).
Also: If you find yourself unable to spend all 300 points because you can't find any more games you want currently being given away, just enter some random giveaways that end in 2 weeks or so until you are out of points. Then at a later time whens you run out of points, leave those random giveaways and voila, you just freed up points to enter that enticing giveaway that just popped up! ^^ (Plus loopholed a way to increase the maximum points you can save up :D)

I've won (and received) 48 games/DLC's so far just on Steamgifts. (⌐■_■)
My most memorable win/s would have to be winning Borderlands 2 and Batman: Arkham City GOTY in less than 24 hours (BL giveaway had 2 entries total and B:AC GOTY had 3 entries total). Both entries were gained by insanely hard (20+ questions each) forum puzzles created by the same awesome SG user, omnitau.
I consider myself insanely lucky on pretty much all of the legit giveaway sites, SG especially. I also have some of the most awesome friends in the world (beggars will be made a fool of if they attempt to harass anyone on my friends list).

In my first week here, I found a brute force puzzle, entered 4 of the 5 that had minimal entries, and won 3 things! 1 of them being a bundle! :D

Well, I've been lucky and won 2 of the Origin games and the Thief collection in the past 1-2 weeks. In fact, I feel like karma is going to bite me in the ass somehow.

Sure, we all know those "I've entered 2 giveaways and I haven't won Skyrim yet!" threads, but this one is for the complete reverse.
Shove in other people's face how lucky you are in this site! Like, I won my first giveaway in 11 entries, and I won Painkiller Redemption and Botanicula both at the same day.
This site is awesome! :D
