TF2 Player made $10,000 from selling hats

Yeah he is, demonstrates a large ego on Facepunch as well. He got around mostly on scamming new players or people who didn't know anything about the TF2 trading economy. Though still impressed on how much he actually got from just selling virtual items in a game.

Sadly people will spend $100s on a hat that sparkles. Meanwhile a teenager(I think he was 14 from an article I read) that made one of the uber pack updates has made well over at least $50,000 from sales and the purchase rights to use it in TF2.

The one selling hats probably has spent a lot of time ripping people off to make a dollar become $5. Is it hard? No. It's just takes a LOT of time and being patient.

The other one that made the uber update pack (I do recall he made two of them? I think it was the heavy? and something else. I don't remember.) and probably has made a few pack ideas long before the polycount contest. I also do believe his items were from the polycount contest. Correct me I'm wrong if anyone read that story or even has a link I can't find it.

Honestly I'm more in shock of the teenager that made the pack and got it accepted. Probably his free time modeling some items and he made quite a lot of dosh out of it. The other one just spends majority of his time staring at a screen.

I don't see why would anyone lie that they made the wrench and makes little to nothing. Lesson? Make good TF2 packs and get one accepted? You just make a good year's worth of a salary.
