I fekkin' love Cool Boarders 2!

EDIT: To the point that I recorded a tape of my perfect halfpipe run and showed it to people.
(Though I'm probably terrible at it by now.)

Here's the link for the U.S.: https://www.playstation.com/en-us/explore/playstation-classic/

This is interesting. I like the idea in general of bringing back classic video game consoles, but I don't know how the old graphics are going to hold up on today's huge televisions.

And the ONLY one on it worth playing is Wild Arms. And maybe Persona.
I'm sure we ALL have the RE HD remake o one platform or another by now.

Too bad there's no news of them using PGXP or equivalent to remove the wobblyness of polygons/textures, or even proper CRT shaders.

I don't really see the point in doing this but some might like it. Also, I don't know if others are aware but, if you have a Raspberry Pi around, you can make your own retro console that is able to play countless titles and the new Raspberry Pi 3 B+ is only $35. You also get to use your existing controllers and have full control over your own little console that can do a lot more than that.

And if you have a Windows computer, you can get equally-high-quality emulators for the same systems as well as emulators for 5th and 6th generation consoles (Gamecube, Wii, etc.), all on top of native compatibility with Windows games and other applications like Microsoft Office. Sure, it's more expensive than $35, but it's worth it in the long run.

Of course, the sky is the limit.

I just provided an alternative to the Playstation Classic for a fraction of the cost and way more versatile, that can also run a full fledged operating system and still fit in the palm of one's hand, all with negligible power consumption. It's an amazing little device that can do a lot of things like being a pocket sized console for example (1.4 GHz quad-core ARM Cortex - A53 64 bit CPU + 1GB LPDDR2 SDRAM + dual band IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ac 2.4GHz and 5 GHz WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 BLE + Ethernet port (300Mbps) + 4 x USB 2.0 + HDMI + microSD card slot + 3.5 mm audio stereo output jack + other cool stuff).

The Playstation Classic is more like a collector's thing in my opinion.

Disappointment. I was expecting something like this:

01- Final Fantasy VII
02- Tekken 3
03- Wild Arms
04- Jumping Flash
05- Ridge Racer Type 4

06- Gran Turismo 2
07- Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation
08- PaRappa the Rapper
09- Silent Hill
10- Crash Bash
11- Twisted Metal 2
13- Pac-Man World
13- Dino Crisis 2
14- Puzzle Bobble
15- Street Fighter Alpha
16- Digimon World
17- Rockman X4
18- The King of Fighters '98
19- Klonoa: Door to Phantomile
20- Super Bomberman 3

It's a balanced gama from iconic PSone games, i think.

Not possible to add new games = not interested (until someone hacks that in, that is).

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six <3
THIS is true tactic shooter and one of the best of the series.

Syphon Filter is an awesooooome PS1 Trilogy (PS2/PSP) era was not really good. I prefer Part 2 but hey Syphon Filter :3 (Underrated imo)

I'm curious to know how it'd fair against a free emulator and a PS3/PS4 controller with those games. If the games work properly, emulators can make games run and look a lot better than they ever did in the past ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Nostalgia is a dangerous drug but I feel like it would become an expensive paper weight after using it for ten minutes

Or just get a PS3, its backwards compatible, and both psx and ps3 games are cheap. The ones on that list are easy to find, even on psn

It's also emulated, so pretty much on par, minus aesthetics of hardware.

Twisted Metal instead of a Gran Turismo game seems like a rather odd choice, considering I don't think many (if any) people even remember that Twisted metal existed in the first place.
There are a good handful of nice picks there though.

I'm suprised that they got non-Sony games on there. A decent selection too. GTA, MGS, FFVII and Resi Evil? Nice.
