Β
Outwit a master computer through psychological warfare with the eerie point and click adventure I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream; unleash your inner ancient powers as the protector of Liveside and banisher of evil in Deadside with cult classic action Shadow Man; and build an army of Mechs to withstand the strongest of armies in intergalactic turn-based strategy Metal Fatigue.
Β
Experience a love letter to the classic first-person shooters of the 1990s with Doom-esque The Original Strife: Veteran Edition; and discover what space-age secrets, and threats, lie aboard a slumbering research ship in action horror FPS Spirits of Xanadu.

Metal Fatigue is wishlisted (loved the demo like 15 years ago) but I own the rest so lets see how it fares Steamsale or giveaways here.
Otherwise I can always pick it up for some giveaways at that price.

I really like this, but I own all but one :D
(Though just reading Mully's comment about AI cheating in Metal Fatigue, I'm less interested in it)

All RTS AI cheat otherwise they are no threat to players at all.
How far they take it is the question.

(One example is how I remember in Red Alert 1 the AI can produce a unit per factory, while players can only produce one unit at a time regardless of factory amount)

Yeah every rts have AI that cheats, at age of empires, AI was starting with more resources, the higher the difficulty the more they cheated.

Since there are always newbies, if you are one this bundle is a must buy, a steal even. Also nice that the two System Shock games and Spirits of Xanadu - a game that is more recent and of smaller scope but has been heavily influenced by them - are together in the same bundle (dunno if it's the first time it happens though).

Whenever I see Spirits of Xanadu, I always think of Faxanadu (NES) and then, get slightly disappointed when I realize it's not the game I was thinking of. But maybe I wouldn't like Faxanadu today as much as I used to when I was a kid)

Nice bundle, but I already have what I would have been interested in. No buy from me.

Hey, thanks for the info! Xanadu Next seems like a game I could enjoy. Gonna wishlist it and keep an eye out for sales.

Xanadu Next is actually a direct sequel to Dragonslayer 2: Xanadu (which Faxanadu is based on, but isn't a direct port of) & Xanadu 2nd Chapter (which is the earliest expansion pack to a game that I'm aware of). It also still retains some recurring plot elements from the first Dragonslayer. It's not bad but the controls take getting used to.

Tokyo Xanadu is not really related to those at all; at least I couldn't spot any references beyond a few 8-bit sprites and original box art showing up. But then the game is stuffed with references to other Falcom games anyway.

Can you elaborate a bit more on the controls?
Also, you say that it's not bad... but it isn't great either, it seems. Is it really worth playing in your opinion?

Well, it's designed for mouse-only controls for the most part, because for Xanadu Next, Falcom looked fo Diablo and similar hack&slash games for inspiration. It's really not what you expect to find in the average JRPG.

I thought it was worth playing, but then I've been a Falcom fanboy since the 8-bit era, when YS: Vanished Omen was new and amazing.
It does feel a unpolished compared to Falcom's other games though.

Pretty great game selection if you're into classics.

At least the price is acceptable, but one previously unbundled game is not enough for me to bite.
It's just plain and simple a rebundle fest with good games tho.
Grab it if you miss the majority of titles here!

Coupon code LUNAR8 at checkout gives an extra 8% off games during their own Lunar sale.
Perhaps the code works on bundles like these too?

Coupon typically doesn't work on bundles and Star Deals, and it doesn't work this time as well

Damn, this is such a great bundle, though most of them have already been on others but these games are extremely good. I still remember Shadowman on the N64, back then it was one of the best horror games. Have it on gog and if i remember correctly you needed a controller to play it bc there was no option to change keys, though it's been years since i played it so i might remember it wrong.
