When in doubt put another mystery bundle, little gambling didn't hurt anyone, right?

Mystery keys again? Sigh.

When i tried to buy a bundle it asked to add 1 mystery key (that's exactly how it was called) too for 1.05 euro, that seems seperate from the elite ones. I got Galaxy Squad. Could only add 1 key per order.

Not buying those mystery bundles ever again , bought the full bundle last time and i owned
every single game and they were all mediocre indie games.

I'd rather save my cash for something worthwhile.

Its official: The "Add a Mystery Key for only $1" line in the shopping cart is the new "Do you want fries with that?" of the bundle world

I should've known that they'd do this in-cart advertising since they did the same thing when the Mystery Egg mystery thing was around...

I recently filled out a survey with them voicing my disapproval of certain trends there, in particular with the (what I feel to be exploitative) mystery bundle stuff, as well as my resulting eroding trust in them.... but I wouldn't be surprised if it just falls on deaf ears.

Oh you have much of Reddit's support as their GameDeals sub/forum HATES them, instantly downvoting to oblivion any post from Fanatical's rep regarding their mystery drops with hundreds of comments complaints and yielding tons of meta discussion about whether those posts should be allowed. Rumor is that those Reddit mods have started banning such "mystery" buys, but I'm still trying to confirm.

Good to know that there are still people with common sense out there. The community has finally came to a consensus that lootboxes are bad, and here comes Fanatical with lootboxes of their own. FFS.

Agh, my OCD can't cope with the gaps in the table! UK prices are:

Tommo Pick and Mix - £1.09 / £5.05 / £7.25
Elite Mystery Bundle - £4.55 / £8.19 / £11.99 / £15.65 / £18.49 - also the MAY10 voucher works on this one.

So Fanatical has used this event to also quietly introduce Comic Bundles in association with MCM Comic Con London in the middle of their current bundles page: Dynamite Comics and Tank Girl.
Interesting to see them branching out. Wonder if they'll end up with some bundles for books and non-game software like Humble?

"Wonder if they'll end up with some bundles for books and non-game software like Humble?"

I did a survey from them a couple weeks ago, and if the questions they asked are any indication, I bet they will start offering such bundles. The survey also asked if I wanted "pay what you want/pay more than the average" bundles, and if I was getting tired of seeing the same games over and over. The next 5 days could be interesting.

While I'm rarely interested in those type of bundles, I'm all for them branching out. More variety of offers for the consumers and more competition.

Agreed. I'm not into non-game bundles either, but as long as they don't start overshadowing game bundles, I'm cool with them. Hopefully that extra revenue will go towards obtaining better games for future bundles.

That's interesting you got a survey.

The survey also asked if I wanted "pay what you want/pay more than the average" bundles

Fanatical has had some multi-tier bundles before which is indirectly a limited "pay what you want". Because I don't always purchase bundles right away, I might be at a disadvantage if they had BTA tiers instead of fixed middle tier(s), assuming that a fixed middle tier would tend to be cheaper than BTA near the middle or end of the bundle period.

and if I was getting tired of seeing the same games over and over. The next 5 days could be interesting.

I'm only mildly annoyed by repeats because I've been buying bundles for just over a year, and there's been a few times where I get them purely for gifts.
I think they might be trying to get around the "seeing the same games over and over" by having Pick and Mixes, but unless there's something in it that is "OMG I must buy and play this game right now", the value seems weaker than bundles or the cost is too high.

It's actually the 2nd (maybe even the 3rd) time they've asked me to take a survey. I never bit before, but they were offering the chance to win a free game bundle, and I didn't have to give them any personal information, so I figured what the heck.

"Because I don't always purchase bundles right away, I might be at a disadvantage if they had BTA tiers instead of fixed middle tier(s),"

Same here. I assume such bundles would probably result in more attractive games, which is nice, but yeah just like with Humble Bundle, it's going to be an oh-shit situation where you're gonna pay for your tardiness.

So... another bundle fest?
It doesn't bode well, considering those that were launched on Day 1. Old stuff with same or increased price. So much wow.
Hand-picked? More like... quickly assembled with leftover keys while nose-picking.

Yeah, its a disappointing start so far, wherein The RPG Champions Bundle are all prior giveaways except for one DLC! If its thumbnail is any indication, I guess I guess they're trying to sell us on underboob?

Why do people shoot themselves in the foot I will never understand.

People complain and complain, but then they buy these mystery keys anyway. It's so dumb. Actions speak louder than words, as they say.

The bulk of any given consumer base will not necessarily be active in online discussion about said product. The people you see complaining are, in all likelihood, not still hypocritically buying the product.

Okay soooooo... is including comics in their bundle fest a way to say they can't put together brand new and nice game bundles anymore so they have to fill those 24 bundle slots with... something else? Comics in this instance.

Probably. If they would have wanted to just start competition with Humble and Groupees regarding comics, they could have released a first bundle in every other week as well.

11 - Day 3 Uprising Bundle

This is more enticing to me than the HB TinyBuild bundle, as this includes a few never-bundled games, a bunch that were one-time bundled, and one rebundled 7x.

Quite an upgrade compared to the prior "Uprising Bundle" from years ago :D
