The fact is we did go to space, but the footage they showed on television is fake. They obviously can't show you real footage from the moon unless we go back.

I find it really hard to believe this, as the Soviets themselves never tried to disprove it. If there was the slightest possibility of it being fake, I think Soviets would be the first to go out and state their misbelief.
However, them not doing so makes me think that they probably knew it was possible and they knew they could have done that themselves, yet they didn't manage to do so in time.

Best proof there could ever be. They tracked the rockets in the same way they tracked their own spacecrafts at the time. Thinking USSR, which had first dog, man and woman in the space, would let USA fake first people on the moon and take the crown from them in that way, would be crazy.

Exactly! By winning the space race USA eventually won the Cold War, which was the reason for the space race in the first place. No way USSR wouldn't try to gather proof if it was a setup. Instead they acknowledged their defeat.

That, and the broadcast signal needed to come from the moon. It's REALLY easy to triangulate a signal's location, and they has the technology to do so before the moon landing. If the signal wasn't originating from the moon, the russians would have known.
