Nope, no keys, the bundle page links straight to your steam account.

I like the ease of how you can redeem them, I can see a lot of people getting butthurt though because they wanna gift individual keys.

You can unlink your account, so it should still be possible to use keys on multiple accounts, but unless you can prove you own them all you might be opening yourself up to issues if they decide to start cracking down (and you'd need to give people access to your page to be able to claim the game) - so it looks like trading is pretty much over, which I'm cool with, but giveaways are over too except for full bundles. Not an issue for bundle whores like me (and we'll hopefully get less people asking about their bundle CV) but it's a bit of a shame for others.

None of the games interest me, but the account linking thing sounds interesting. I look forward to trying it out in the next bundle.

got 1$, I'm gonna let this new tactic slide of linking your steam account for now. But next time that a bundle has a lot of repeats. Looks like I'm gonna pass buying HIB in the future If I can't gift the keys that I already own to my friends

Interesting change of policy.

Policy didn't change.. it was always said "All purchases are for your personal use only"

The only difference is now they enforce it by linking directly to Steam instead of giving keys.

Yes I know that but from my understanding of the word (Clicky) it's perfectly fine to call the change of their way of distributing games a change of policy.

Great, I already own Worms Armagaddon and I can't even give it to a friend. As for Worms Revolution Gold, I already have the game on my account, without any DLC, so I'm not too sure what would happen if I want to activate the Gold Edition...

the new ky will be tied to your account instead of the old one.
sort of like an 'upgrade'.

Oh they did a great bundle!!! I thought it will be another shit. But I already have this games.

EDit: but wait a sec, there is no key, another redeeming system? WTF, still worth if you haven't any of the games.

No more CD Keys, finally they got smarter and kicked in the butt all those exploiters.

no only exploiters but any other people who are buying it. I was buying bundles even if i own all games except 1, knowing that i can gift those other keys to friends, or to giveaway them at last. But now i dont see any point in buying bundles, because i usually own 80-90% games in them

"All keys are for personal use only"
Also there were lots of people who were reselling old bundles at insane prices online, so not being able to gift extra copies is a little price to pay to keep bundles alive. To me, i don't mind paying another dollar to get extra games for my friends. I mean, it's a fucking dollar, you can't buy anything more than a pencil with it.

Maybe I have two Steam accounts and I want to redeem some games on one and some games on another :P

Seriously though, your post makes no sense. You can still buy gift bundles to resell in the future for "insane prices online"

With this Steam account linking system, they should use it to finally pound into their heads how many of their customers already own certain games and stop repeating them in future bundles.
Not that they didn't already know they were repeating games, but now they can see clear statistical proof that almost all of us own most of the games they seem to like repeating.

System is GREAT! To the whiners who say " won't buy if I can't gift a game" I call BS. First off, if even a single game is one you like, and it is non-BTA, $1 is cheaper than buying it anywhere else. SECOND, it benefits charity, its not just about getting every single title with all the DLC for $1 so you can have 800 games in your steam profile of which you have played 50. THIRD, we were never supposed to gift the extras. Almost everyone did either share with a friend or put some extra keys on Steam Gifts. Instead of QQ that you can't do it anymore, realize we were breaking the rules before, there are no consequences, and now we are being held to the rules we agreed to in the TOS.

The new system is really no different from getting a single key for the entire bundle. All the new whining is silly. ROOAARRR!! MAD I NO HAVE KEY FOR EACH GAME ROAR!!! Excuse me, when they gave a single key for the entire bundle, you didn't get single keys either. The new system is much more flexible. Makes it easier to redeem games and if you want to share a game you just unlink your account, link it to you friend, then redeem that key. Only now you have to actually have a friend you trust. If you really trust the person, then gaining access to their account isn't an issue.

Most of the ROOOAAARR MAADDD !!!! is because you aren't sharing with close friends. You are selling keys or trading keys with strangers or others you don't really trust. Tough. It wasn't meant for that. I did it before, a lot of people did it before, we can't do it anymore, so "tough" to us. We can't put Humble keys on SG or trade them. We can still get gift URLS for people. We can still have very trusted friends share. You are full of BS if you say you won't buy another Humble Bundle. You will, we all will. A few duplicates won't deter anyone.

Good post, I agree with most of what you said. Aside from these 2 things:

its not just about getting every single title with all the DLC for $1 so you can have 800 games in your steam profile of which you have played 50

While it's true that many people have a sizeable backlog of games that they may never play, this begs the question: if the majority of the games remain unplayed (as in your example) then doesn't that mean that the developer/publisher of those games are essentially getting some 'free' revenue from many people that they wouldn't get otherwise? I'm sure there are many people who get bundles knowing that they may likely never actually play some of the games, but do so anyway just in case they would want to at some point.

Only now you have to actually have a friend you trust. If you really trust the person, then gaining access to their account isn't an issue.

Based on personal experience, I have to disagree with this. I have friends that I game with and met playing online, some of whom I even interact on Facebook with (yet I have never met them IRL), but whom I would not share any kind of sensitive or private information with (which includes stuff like passwords and accounts). Hell, I wouldn't even like doing that with a family member. Personally I just don't like the idea that someone could mess with my shit if you know what I mean.

  1. . SECOND, it benefits charity, its not just about getting every single title with all the DLC for $1 so you can have 800 games

You cant cut the most important part of the sentence. Its about Charity. People complaining they won't buy a bundle unless every title is one they need can focus on the act of charity as well as the fact that $1 for a single game is still a deal.

  1. . If you really trust the person, then gaining access to their account isn't an issue.

You actually agreed in your explanation. You defined that you do not trust those people. If you REALLY trusted them, then sharing would be an issue. If you wouldn't share personal info, you don't REALLY trust them do you? Having an aquaintance is different from a true friend. Easy test, would you trust the person with something of true importance? If not, they are an aquaintance.
