Humble Bundle has announced plans to move into the game publishing business with the launch of a new multi-platform publishing and funding initiative. The company described the program as "a multi-million-dollar investment for games large and small," and said it will begin with seven games "across a range of genres and styles, for PC, console, and mobile platforms."

"What publishing allows us to do differently is to help developers prior to release," said publishing lead John Polson. "It also helps us guarantee eager gamers will get to play some awesome games, each affixed with the trusted Humble brand of quality we are known for."

You can view the full list of games being published and read the full article over at PC Gamer.

It's an interesting shift for the company.I'll tell you what though, No Truce with the Furies looks really interesting.

Here, have a giveaway too.

Thanks, OP answered already.

Right. Although the only game I can recall them publishing was Blockstorm. That might have been because they also co-developed it too.

Yeah.
I hope Humble Bundle will publish better quality games than Indiegala.
But No Truce with the Furies, indeed, looks good.

As long as "publisher" still means "DRM-free games", they're welcome to it. The only game from the list I heard of is No Truce with the Furies, but IIRC the concept was pretty good.

And people will still complain it's not on GOG.com. =\

So they're going to be the ones publishing A Hat in Time, that's unexpected.
Welp, I now know what games are going to be on the monthlies of 2018.

So I guess their expiriment with Humble Originals worked out well then. This does not have to be a bad thing.
Hope they will keep working with other publishers/self-publishing devs for Humble Indie / Jumbo bundles though.

I really hope this means DRM-free builds in their own store as well.
And that hopefully they start devising a normal delivery system for those instead of re-downloading an entire build or a new installer if a game is updated.

I wonder if this has anything to do with GamePump and one of their former top peeps doing the same thing :P.

Just had a look and I recognize 3 of the games on that list. Cool cool, though I wonder how the kickstarter backers of some of these games feel about it.

Ohhh. There are 3 indie games I was looking forward to on that list! No Truce with the Furies, A Hat in Time and Ikenfell. It's also the first time I'm seeing a release date for Ikenfell, so yay. 乁(。◕‿◕。)ㄏ

So this is why the No Truce With the Furies devs said they were landing on Steam without (presumably) going through Greenlight. (I made a thread about the game a while back). No Kickstarter for that one, either. A fall 2017 release is later than I hoped, though.

Interesting initiative by Humble. If all goes well, we could see them becoming the next Devolver Digital or something.
