When will the iPod 4's iOS stop being supported?

Well some of you might have sawn my post on if the psp 3000 would be worth it, well forget about it. I saw multiple extraordinary deals of used ipod 4's starting and $100. I'm planning on getting it October, 2013. But i want to know if most of the apps will still be supported, im planning on using it for a really long time. (Like 4 years)

PS: I mean the iphone 4 not the 4s.

Don't buy it unless it is on 6.1.2.
iOS 7 drops the iPod touch 4G. iOS 7 is coming out in August/September.

If it is on 6.1.3 you CAN'T jailbreak, unless you want a tethered jailbreak which is never fun :[
