thanks so so much, SNES was by far my favourite console and I grew up with it <3

As a fan of rogue-likes, the SNES is a goldmine.
Not that there many rogue-like games, but in the sense that the mechanics are not explained, and you discover what to do via trial and error and usually if you die, you're back to the start.
I've got a SNES emulator on my PSP and if it wasn't for my current Valkyria Chronicles obsession, it would be the only thing I play on my PSP.

I had an NES growing up, passed down from my uncle. I loved that thing. I looked longingly at the Genesis and SNES in magazines, lusting after their great looking games, but it was an expensive luxury that we couldn't afford.
The first console I actually bought myself, and my first console since the NES, was a used PS2 at the end of 2006. It was a Christmas present to myself, along with a copy of God of War and Final Fantasy 12.

Wow #4 and #7 memories galore!
Except I never owned a SNES, and played #7 (almost spoiled it with my excitement) on the PC.
Solved now :)
The gimmick of the games in old tube tv's was really rad.
And I forgot my thanks! <--------- 👩🏻

I've grown up playing on my Sega Genesis, and thereafter Sega Mega Drive 2 as well, I actually still have the console and some of my cartridges! It was only around when I was like 12-15 my grandma bought me a "300-Games VCD Player", which had a lot of NES/SNES games in it, but I only played for the popular titles such as Contra, Mario, Mega Man, oh and I really liked Adventure Island! (Still love platformer games)
Perhaps next time I find some extra bucks, I'll make a follow up thread and do the SEGA nostalgia puzzle! :P

I only got two, the first one because of the player´s outfit and the fourth one, which I actually played and loved. Some of the screens are too small or too dark to make out properly. Of course it doesn´t help that I had a Genesis instead of a SNES.

Hello!
After a long time, I've decided to make another puzzle about SNES games, just because I really liked playing them.
Just look at the images and guess the game's names.
There's a little train as a prize to the solvers.
Have fun: PUZZLE
HINTS:
1 - These two like sophisticated music.
2 - He's almost as old as dinosaurs.
3 - Half boy, half girl.
4 - Nordics that don't know where they are.
5 - Japanese sequel of a "secretive" game.
6 - Also found in some pants and shorts.
7 - A dark thorn.
8 - Racing in the mexican California.
